The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a senior manager, experienced in building and developing a high performing team, and experienced in sales & events system deployment and onboarding as part of the Global Hotel Operational Services Sales & Events team. You will build and develop a team of trainers who lead Sales & Events Operations colleagues at new hotel openings and delivery of new offerings globally. You will also work with leaders in other regions to ensure synergy, optimal resource deployment, and hotel Sales & Events colleague satisfaction.

The Role
This position leads the Sales & Events Deployment and Onboarding team across the Americas. This position is focused on successfully establishing the technology footprint of the hotels opening or acquired across the Americas. This involves managing the configuration of systems and onboarding Hyatt's new colleagues, so that they can deliver on Hyatt's brand promise of advancing care for our guests and customers and fulfilling the brand experience using Hyatt's technology. As Senior Manager, they are responsible for the development of the team, managing vendor relationships, and effectively interact with Corporate and Regional offices to understand current and future needs. The position will require management of multiple projects, priorities, and a fluctuating workforce. Interaction and relationships with other departments will be critical.
Additional responsibilities include • Effective daily interaction with Corporate and Regional offices to understand opening dates and the schedule of other activities (hiring of employees, implementation of other systems, setup of IT infrastructure, construction of the property) in order to manage the onboarding schedule. As well as to stay engaged in other activities that may be happening in the region that could be of importance to the organization.• Manage the creation and management of the onboarding schedule for each hotel• Liaise with hotel leadership to plan for a successful deployment and onboarding experience at the hotel, including but not limited to the number of training rooms needed, coordinate with global vendors on resource availability and distribute to all relevant parties (vendors, regional office, hotel, other implementation teams)• Implement training and development plans for each individual team member. Mentor and manage them through the phases of a career with GHT Onboarding and prepare them for promotion or a return to hotel operations• Cultivate and maintain a relationship with Hyatt's vendors across the Americas that implement and train the systems installed at new Hyatt hotels. This is done through regular meetings with management from each office to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects and needs
Qualifications
Experience Required:• Diverse hotel management experience in sales & events (7+ years)• Deep knowledge and experience with Hyatt's sales & events systems• Experience managing multiple initiatives (7+ years)• In-depth knowledge of core sales & events systems• Developing training & project planning and implementation (5+ years)• Hotel opening and acquisitions (5+ years)• While not a traveling job, this role could require travel regionally or globally to champion the deployment and usage of our product being deployed to hotel sales & events.
Experience Preferred: • Excellent communication skills• Fluency in more than one language, strongly preferred• Experience living or residing in countries in the Americas other than the U.S., ideal• Proven experienced leader of high performing teams, strongly preferred• Experience with Hyatt systems including but not limited to, Reserve, Opera PMS, Envision, PRIO, IDEAS
