Sales Operations Analyst
About the Role
Morningstar's Business Development & Sales group is responsible for helping our advisor and institutional clients build their businesses and provide better outcomes for investors. The Americas Strategic Accounts group is structured primarily along the following client segments: Advisor, Asset Management and Alliances and Redistributor. Our sales teams are comprised of experienced enterprise sales leaders and representatives within the U.S., Canada and Latin America responsible for expanding Morningstar's relationships with our largest institutional clients, exceeding our sales goals and achieving our strategic growth initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized and efficient individual to assist with increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Sustainalytics, Morningstar's newest selling team. You will be responsible for obtaining a deep understanding of sales processes and our sales workflow. You will play a vital role to the organization as you assist salespeople and sales managers with their day-to-day needs to ensure that our sales professionals can concentrate on their primary client engagement and management responsibilities, help identify areas of inefficiency and propose solutions to optimize the time of our sales professionals. The successful candidate will collaborate across internal functions including sales operations, finance, sales enablement, and product, with a view to enhance and improve processes and efficiencies across departments to ensure effective support to the wider sales efforts. This position is based in our Chicago office.
Job Responsibilities• Maintain day-to-day support of sales rep workflows and support initiatives of sales managers• Support and optimize the use of CRM system (Salesforce) for accounts, including assisting with ongoing enhancements• Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders, perform analysis on data as required• Liaise with salespeople, training, SalesOps, and product to support sales administrative functions• Ad-hoc project support
Qualifications• Prior experience in operations and/or operational analysis; sales operations experience will be an advantage• Excellent organizational, communication, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities• Outstanding service orientation and proactive problem-solving skills• Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build relationships• Strong attention to detail• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint), Salesforce.com or other CRM systems• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
