Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Job Description
West Region Emergency Call Handling
The primary responsibility for this position is the detailed system and site design for the Emergency Call Handling portfolio. This includes meeting with customers, conducting site walks, conducting and documenting detailed call flow design(s) and IP network configuration(s) to be used by the project implementation team. The Solution Architect must also be familiar with third party hardware, and software interfaces. Other responsibilities include completing and maintaining project specific information and conducting follow up meetings as needed. This position also provides installation support and consulting for site specific projects. This position works under minimal supervision. Moderate to heavy travel is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to review and discuss project/site design
- Create and provide detailed design documents and call flows for project implementation.
- Work with the Sales and Sales Engineering team to transition the project and design from pre to post sales
- Work with project implementation team to resolve site specific design issues
- May provides installation support and consulting to internal departments.

Qualifications:
Experience with installation, administration and troubleshooting of:
- Server Virtualization, specifically with VMWare ESXi v.6+ and\or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+
- Database Servers, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2\2012\2016
- Server Operating Systems, specifically Windows Server 2008 R2\2012\2012 R2\2016
- Network Switches, preferably with Cisco IOS
- Firewalls and Routers, preferably with Fortinet Fortigate
- Storage Systems (SAN\NAS\DAS), preferably with Nimble, HP 3PAR and StoreOnce
- Server Hardware, including blade servers
Prefer knowledge with existing call handling platforms
Basic Requirements
Experience with installation, administration and troubleshooting of Servers, Network Switches and Storage Systems
