Strategic Digital Account Director

OK, so where do you fit in? 

As our Strategic Digital Account Director you will be responsible for directing an organic growth strategy across new and existing accounts ($500K - 4MM). This includes vision setting with the client, account planning and strategy, identification of key growth opportunities, proactive client value creation and overall financial health of accounts within your portfolio.

We’re looking for a team leader and client partner who is super adaptable and can collaborate closely with our New Business and Project Management teams to transition projects from sales to internal teams, track and report on key project milestones, strategy and scope, and continually delight our clients! In this role:

You will actively participate in pre-research, strategy consultation, SOW review, and follow-up sessions with our new and existing clients to make sure the process is collaborative and communicative from the start. 

You will help manage the project handoff from our new business team to the project managers by leading our internal project kick-off meeting and ensuring our internal teams understand the high level features of the project, as well as what success will look like to our client partner. 

You will continue to be involved through ongoing strategy and research phases by working with the Project Manager to capture scope changes and following up with clients to ensure the overall strategy is on track.

Through it all, you will keep a great communication channel open by conducting weekly check-ins with all stakeholders, work closely with the PM’s on project issues, keep a hawk eye on the project scope, and be a champion of empathy for both the team and the client partner. 

Are you still with us? Great, now here’s what you need for the role: 

  • 7-10 years relevant experience in a client facing, business centric role (project/account management, strategy, sales, etc).

  • Experience working with mid-to-enterprise sized clients on digital products and the ability to identify our clients business goals and growth opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, initiate change, and collaborate across groups - both internal and on the client side.

  • Ability to identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities within your account portfolio.

  • Experience working with in-house, cross functional digital teams (User Experience, Design and Technology) on multiple projects - Direct digital agency experience is strongly preferred.

  • Confidence to represent Eight Bit Studios as an industry leader in Chicago

  • Strong problem solving skills, creative instincts, and a passion for building long term client relationships.
