Position Overview

The position is part of the Operations department reporting to the Director of Contractual Truckload Sourcing. The Truckload Pricing Coordinator will have complete ownership of the truckload pricing loading process in Optimizer. Duties will include process creation of rate loading submission requests into Optimizer, the vetting process to identify & resolve any pricing error submissions, the loading process of all contracted pricing, post rate loading testing to ensure Optimizer pricing matches contracted pricing, extraction of carrier performance reports, etc. In addition, this role will assist the Director of Contractual Truckload Sourcing in general duties which include assistance in carrier RFP requests, general carrier communication, pricing addendum creation/execution, participate in carrier visit meetings, assist in the creation of state-of-the industry materials for clients/potential clients, etc.

Essential Job Functions

Primary daily function is to execute rate loading duties in Optimizer tool. Timely communication with all key stakeholders will be a core function. This will be a process driven role so adhering & executing to published SOPs will be a requirement. Periodic review and refinement of SOPs for continuous improvement will be needed. Daily interaction will primarily be with Operations, Implementations, Contractual Sourcing, and Echo provider partners. Adhering to business deadlines will be imperative.

Rate Loading Ownership

  • Ownership of all contract truckload rate loading requests
  • Creation & publishing of rate loading SOP methodology
  • Drive resolution for pricing errors with respective Echo submitting party
  • Development of Carrier Scorecard reporting at the account & enterprise levels
  • Support resolution of any IT functionality issues with Echo IT department
  • Communicate timelines for complete loading & testing of pricing for all new client launches
  • Error testing of pricing prior to publishing for execution
  • Publish notification of rate loading completion to all stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement of rate loading SOP
  • Attend weekly one-on-one meeting with Director of Contractual Truckload Sourcing
  • Attend all required Solutions organizational meetings

Request-for-Pricing Execution Support

  • Assist in the scoping out operational business requirements for RFP
  • Identify carrier partners to issue RFP out to market
  • Address & answer questions presented from carrier partners during RFP process
  • Vetting and review of proposal submissions with internal/external stakeholders
  • Targeted pricing negotiations with carriers
  • Echo carrier contracting duties for Carrier Compliance (executing master motor carrier agreement & documents collection)
  • Pricing addendum creation & execution
  • Carriers on-boarding meeting support
  • Support in creating State-of-the-Industry materials

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Continually improve of rate loading SOP process to enable better solutions
  • Work with IT to continue to improve the routing guide functionality
  • Help drive the improvement of analytics tools
  • Meet with stakeholders to identify process improvement/opportunities for efficiencies gains

Carrier Meeting Participation

  • Assist in scheduling of Carrier meetings
  • Creation of Carrier Scorecard report to review during meeting
  • Capture & publish the current carrier network needs discussed during meeting
  • Follow up communication on any carrier partner requests from meeting

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following characteristics and experience:

  • Strong background in Transportation/Supply Chain
  • Experience using MS Visio, Power Point, Excel, Word, & Tableau
  • Carrier & Customer facing experience a plus
  • 2-3 years work experience
  • Proven performer who is effective at “multi-tasking”
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn Echo’s proprietary Transportation Management Systems
  • Self-managed and motivated
  • Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, fluid work environment
  • Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion
  • Analytical
  • Very organized and detail oriented
  • Ability for periodic business travel
