Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce Technical Product Owner to lead and drive our Sales Cloud initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of the Sales Cloud platform, ensuring architectural alignment with business objectives, and delivering exceptional system performance. This role focuses on technical leadership, managing complex solution designs, and overseeing architectural governance to ensure a scalable and stable Salesforce environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Strategy and Roadmap: Develop a clear technical product strategy and multi-year vision for Salesforce, defining the product's long-term roadmap while ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy

  • Leadership: Collaborate and Lead the Sales projects and programs by coordinating with the cross functional IT teams and business partners

  • Detailed Solution Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy custom solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems,  transforming business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.

  • Architectural Governance: Enforce architectural design reviews and governance frameworks to prevent platform disruptions, ensuring all shared objects and permissions are identified before implementation.

  • Technical Debt Management: Identify and prioritize opportunities for code cleanup, component redesign, and technical debt reduction to maintain environment stability and improve system usability.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for Salesforce Sales Cloud, continuously deepening your expertise on platform features and functionalities to facilitate ongoing improvements.

  • End-User Advocacy: Champion the needs of end-users by providing comprehensive training, support, and guidance to ensure they fully leverage Salesforce capabilities and adhere to best practices.

  • Data Driven / Prioritization: Bring a data-driven approach to the product and provide insights into how the product is performing and capturing business value. Using those data insights, prioritize effectively to drive the product forward using data insights to make decisions for the product.

  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of product enhancements, ensuring the timely delivery of solutions that align with customer satisfaction and business goals.

  • Thought Leadership/Emerging Trends: Generate and surface key emerging customer trends that MSI should be thinking about to better serve our stakeholders by researching and assessing the trends and emerging technologies to deliver insights and value. 

  • Engineering Collaboration: Work directly with cross-functional engineering pods, ensuring that technical requirements and foundational Salesforce knowledge are vetted and met throughout the sprint lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5-6 years as a Salesforce Technical Product Owner or Salesforce Consultant, specializing in Sales Cloud 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders.

  • Technical Leadership: Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex Salesforce projects/programs, architectural reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Salesforce certifications are highly preferred.

  • Experience: 

  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex Salesforce solutions.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and solve for blockers with minimal guidance

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze complex requirements and translate them into actionable product features.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing product backlogs.

Target Base Salary Range: $125,000 USD - $145,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago and/or Schaumburg office 1-2 days per week.
