Job responsibilities
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, ECC, BW systems and add-ons including SAP Router and Solution Manager.
- Manage SAP system landscapes including development, QA, production, clients, instances, and transports.
- Install and maintain SAP kernels and support packages; apply OSS notes and SAP patches.
- Monitor system health including CPU, memory, DB, I/O, jobs, spool, and application logs.
- Tune parameters for performance.
- Implement SAP early-watch / health checks, alerting, and automated monitoring.
- Administer HANA, Oracle, MSSQL, and DB2 databases including backups, restores, high availability, and DR planning/testing.
- Manage storage, file systems, growth forecasting, and capacity planning with infrastructure.
- Manage SAP user administration, roles/authorizations, PFCG, SSO, and AD/Azure AD identity integration.
- Administer CTS/CTS+ and ChaRM processes, transport governance, and transport routes.
- Support release cycles, cutovers, system clones, and refreshes.
- Participate in upgrades, migrations, S/4HANA conversions, and modernization projects.
- Automate repetitive tasks using shell, PowerShell, Python, and SAP tools.
- Operate SAP on AWS, Azure, GCP, and virtualized platforms.
- Manage SAP-specific cloud services, integrations, middleware connectivity, and cross-system troubleshooting.
- Use SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit, DB tools, Linux/Windows/AIX, Nagios, Prometheus, Dynatrace, and cloud consoles.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science.
- 4+ years BASIS administration, system refreshes/migrations, user support, and cloud migration.
- Strong security and authorization experience across multiple SAP environments.
- 4+ years managing TCP/IP networks, enterprise applications, and databases including HANA, MySQL, MAX DB, MS SQL, and Oracle.
- At least one full-cycle install implementation and two module-based implementations such as HR, FICO, SD/MM.
- Solution Manager configuration/maintenance and satellite-system configuration.
- Single Sign-On, Microsoft Windows Domain, and Enterprise Portal experience.
- Fiori launchpad, custom roles, apps, and gateway administration.
- UNIX/Linux/Solaris administration.
- System process standardization and stabilization.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
