The Senior Analyst will support Category Management by leading projects, analyzing data, collaborating with departments, managing supplier relationships, and developing processes.
As a Senior Analyst - Category Management (Operations), you will support the Category Management organization in achieving its goals by overseeing various projects and participating in team and product initiatives. You will work closely with Category Managers in day-to-day activities, including report gathering, report analysis, meeting preparations and supporting various processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or Support Category Management projects and initiatives.
- Engage and Collaborate as needed with other internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, etc as well as with Supplier partners.
- Assist the development of new processes and Supplier programs.
- Review Associate and Analyst work, when applicable.
- Effectively evaluate large sets of data, identify trends, proactively solicit feedback from others and recommend solutions while understanding business impact.
- Analyze repeat non-stock orders and recommend creation & stocking of new part numbers.
- Create/Update/Withdraw existing part numbers.
- Help manage a tactical relationship with key suppliers.
- Identify product / process cost improvement opportunities.
- Assist the Category Managers in the development of marketing collateral and supplier reporting.
- Assist in the collection and maintenance of supplier and product information, including product specifications, product images, and additional product content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supplier management, sales, marketing or similar roles
- Previous experience in the electrical distribution market is a plus
- Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and detail-oriented
- Team first mentality with a positive/can-do attitude
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Good PC skills including office applications such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
