As a Senior Brand & Web Designer, you'll execute and enhance brand visuals across digital and physical platforms while ensuring consistency and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

Dispel is a growth-stage cybersecurity company building secure remote access for critical infrastructure: utilities, manufacturing, and essential services. Our customers operate in high-stakes environments, and how we present ourselves matters. Clear, confident, well-crafted design builds the trust that gets us in the door and keeps us there.

As a Senior Brand & Web Designer (IC4), you are the primary hands-on executor of Dispel's brand across digital and physical touch points. You report directly to the Chief Design Officer and work closely with our Staff Brand & Web Designer, who leads the strategic brand platform. Your job is to execute within that system and extend it with precision and taste. Every asset you produce should hold up under a microscope.

This role is about execution and craft above all else. We want someone who obsesses over typography, color relationships, layout rhythm, and pixel-perfect production. Someone who sees the difference between "close enough" and "right" and won't ship the former. You will also bring motion and video skills, whether that means building interactive assets in Rive, creating micro-animations for the web, editing short-form video for campaigns and social, or producing motion content for events. Motion and video are not the core of the job, but they are skills that make your work and the brand come alive.

We move fast and expect you to use AI tools daily to accelerate production, from generating concepts to iterating on layouts to producing content variations, while holding the quality bar that our brand demands.

Requirements

Brand Execution & Visual Identity

  • Produce pixel-perfect brand assets across channels: campaign visuals, conference materials, signage, tear sheets, whitepapers, presentations, and digital ads.
  • Execute within and extend the brand system led by the Staff Designer. Evolve core elements like typography, color, and illustration with validation, never drifting.
  • Establish and govern cross-channel templates that teams can use with confidence.
  • Architect and maintain brand libraries in Figma and/or Buzz: tokens, themes, components, and usage documentation.
  • Scale production using GenAI tools while maintaining quality through clear guardrails and review criteria.
  • Ensure brand consistency across print, product, social, and event surfaces. Catch drift before it compounds.

Web Design, Motion & Video

  • Lead design of net-new site sections and iterative improvements to dispel.com, working within performance budgets and accessibility standards.
  • Create responsive, high-fidelity page designs that communicate Dispel's value proposition clearly and with visual polish.
  • Define and apply motion and accessibility guidelines for the marketing site.
  • Build interactive motion assets using tools like Rive: component patterns, micro-interactions, and campaign moments that elevate the web experience.
  • Edit and produce short-form video content for campaigns, social media, and event recaps.
  • Partner with SEO leads on information architecture, content modules, and page structure.
  • Identify and prioritize web roadmap items alongside engineering and the Staff Designer.
  • Make regular updates and refinements to keep the site sharp and current.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Content Support

  • Work closely with the Marketing team as a day-to-day design partner. Expect a high volume of asset requests across campaigns, content, events, and enablement materials.
  • Drive integrated campaign visual systems from concept through rollout, working with Marketing and Sales.
  • Own complex event experiences: booth environments, screen choreography, swag, and collateral suites.
  • Create brand-aligned internal communications packs and leadership presentation kits.
  • Partner with Product Design to keep marketing and product surfaces visually coherent across icons, illustration style, and motion language.

Communication & Craft Leadership

  • Present design rationale to stakeholders with clear logic, comps, and supporting data
  • Run brand onboarding sessions and office hours to keep teams aligned
  • Mentor IC1 through IC3 designers on craft fundamentals: typography, layout, color, production quality
  • Publish guidance to help transition legacy brand assets to the current system
  • Contribute to critique culture by giving sharp, constructive feedback grounded in brand principles

What We're Looking For

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in brand and web design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong visual craft and range across digital and print
  • Proven ability to execute brand systems with pixel-perfect precision. Not just following guidelines, but extending them with taste and craft.
  • Skilled in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and GenAI design tools as daily working tools.
  • Solid web design skills: responsive layout, typographic hierarchy, accessible and performant page design.
  • Working knowledge of motion design and video editing. Comfortable building interactive assets in Rive or similar tools, creating micro-animations, editing short-form video, and thinking about how movement strengthens communication.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (Framer, HubSpot) and modern web standards.
  • Relentless attention to detail: spacing, alignment, color consistency, production quality. Nothing ships sloppy.
  • Clear communicator who can present work and explain decisions to cross-functional partners.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Bonus Points

  • Frontend development experience (React, HTML/CSS/JS).
  • Advanced motion, animation, or video production skills beyond basic web interactions.
  • Working knowledge of shader-based tools and creative coding (Paper.js, Unicorn Studio, or similar) for generative and interactive visual effects.
  • Background in B2B, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technical products.
  • Experience working within tokenized or multi-theme design systems.
  • Experience producing event and experiential design (booth environments, large-format installations).
  • You have built efficient GenAI workflows for brand content production.

Benefits
  • $76,000-91,000 base
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • Health savings account (HSA)
  • A remote-first culture with an optional office in Brooklyn, NY
  • A creative and purpose-driven environment where design has real impact
