RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES: Design and maintain reporting solutions by developing user-friendly reports, dashboards, and graphics, and managing a centralized data catalog to ensure accessibility of key data sources for stakeholders. This specifically includes working with advanced statistical analysis and data modeling techniques, such as regression, hypothesis testing, sampling to interpret large datasets and deliver actionable insights aligned with business objectives; utilized programming languages, such as Python or R for data preparation, transformation, and visualization using libraries; data warehousing, ETL and SQL optimization to include querying, indexing, and optimizing large datasets with ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and performance tuning; business intelligence, data visualization & reporting: ability to design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools for concise visualizations; data validation & data mapping, experience in validating data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across multiple systems, and ability to perform data mapping between disparate sources to ensure proper integration and alignment. Conduct advanced data analysis using traditional and statistical methods, including data aggregation, transformation, validation, and mapping to support hypothesis testing and business decisions. Develop and implement programming solutions for data preparation, analysis, and visualization to enable statistical modeling, analytics, and interpretation of complex datasets. Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations by analyzing trends, identifying emerging business-critical issues, and leveraging historical patterns to define opportunities for safety and process improvements. Collaborate and lead projects by acting as a resource for less experienced colleagues, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and delivering data-driven solutions that build consensus across teams.
Hybrid Work Schedule Permitted: Three days in the Chicago, IL office and two days may be worked from home.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field and 5 years of work experience. Additionally, 3 years of work experience stated herein to involve: (1) advanced statistical analysis and data modeling techniques, such as regression, hypothesis testing, sampling to interpret large datasets and deliver actionable insights aligned with business objectives; (2) utilized programming languages, such as Python or R for data preparation, transformation, and visualization using libraries; (3) data warehousing, ETL and SQL optimization to include querying, indexing, and optimizing large datasets with ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and performance tuning; (4) business intelligence, data visualization & reporting: ability to design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools for concise visualizations; (5) data validation & data mapping, experience in validating data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across multiple systems, and ability to perform data mapping between disparate sources to ensure proper integration and alignment.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field and 3 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) advanced statistical analysis and data modeling techniques, such as regression, hypothesis testing, sampling to interpret large datasets and deliver actionable insights aligned with business objectives; (2) utilized programming languages, such as Python or R for data preparation, transformation, and visualization using libraries; (3) data warehousing, ETL and SQL optimization to include querying, indexing, and optimizing large datasets with ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and performance tuning; (4) business intelligence, data visualization & reporting: ability to design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools for concise visualizations; (5) data validation & data mapping, experience in validating data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across multiple systems, and ability to perform data mapping between disparate sources to ensure proper integration and alignment. Salary Range: Salary: $100,703 - $149,200/year
