Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

 + The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
+ This role is focused on Data visualization. The Senior Business Engineer will partner with internal teams to develop compelling visualizations and automations in order to provide understandable insights in an efficient manner.
+ The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

This is an experienced position requiring 5+ prior years of experience in the analytics & Business Intelligence field, including a deep hands-on knowledge of PowerBI, DAX, Salesforce and SQL. You need to have a strong grasp of Salesforce objects and API connections. Key tasks include:

• Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI to analyze data, create reports, and dashboards, and extract insights to support business decision-making
• Translate business requirements as well as data requirements to create data visualizations / reports
• Create dashboards for various predictive models tailored for different business units to assist in informed decision-making
• Build data pipelines to pull together information from data tables; integrating, consolidating, cleansing data, and structuring it for analysis and creating dashboards You will create connections to both on-prem and cloud data sources

• Build BI automation workflows to deliver key insights in various formats including PDFs, PPTs, and Excel reports via email, while also minimizing manual tasks through automation
• Develop proofs of concept (POCs) to explore new features, tools, and technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Data Visualization tools especially Power BI
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
• Proven experience with Power BI + Salesforce integration
• Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
• Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Advanced Experience in Data Mining using SQL/Azure Tools
• Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$89,000 - $121,400 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
