The Senior Designer works collaboratively with other designers conducting user research, crafting the information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. The Senior Designer develops the overall design and specifications for creating and enhancing the experience and functionality of user interfaces for products, including websites, software, hardware, and tools. Partners with marketing, product management and product to create design architecture, specifications, and requirements for the look, feel and functionality or products.
Responsibilities- Translates business goals into a cohesive user experience by reconciling user and business needs, technical capabilities and best practices in interaction design and usability.
- Researches and communicates opportunities to enhance the product experience through user research and testing.
- Partners with marketing, product management and product development to create design architecture, specifications and requirements for the look, feel and functionality of products.
- Facilitates brainstorming and working sessions with business stakeholders and execution team.
- Uses design tools to create storyboards, samples, prototypes and templates for demonstrations and user testing.
- Reviews proposed product changes or enhancements for compliance and alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and suggests improvements.
- Evaluates market and consumer user experience research and results and updates design architecture based on discovered trends and patterns
- May perform user design research, including aggregation and analysis of primary and secondary research data, for consumer and user design acceptance and overall user experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of UX/UI design experience
- Experience with the tools of the trade like Figma, Sketch, Invasion, Photoshop, Marvel and Overflow.
- Ability to take user research and translate insights from research to designs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both when interfacing with customers as well as when working with a team.
- Flexible and decisive
- Ability and experience leading complex projects.
- Ability to define and prioritize problems to be tackled.
