As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for executing, driving, and owning Location Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives through all stages of the development lifecycle to completion. You will document and map business requirements to Location MDM platform capabilities while ensuring the integrity, quality, governance, and availability of enterprise location master data. You will function as a technical expert on Location MDM applications, production support activities, data integrations, and business-critical master data processes.

Responsibilities

  • Works with project managers, business analysts, data stewards, business stakeholders, and product owners to understand how business requirements and technical specifications translate into Location MDM solutions and operational processes. 
  • Designs, develops, and maintains Location MDM solutions that support enterprise location hierarchies, site attributes, geographic relationships, and reference data management. 
  • Writes clean, efficient, and well-engineered code that supports Location MDM integrations, data validation processes, API services, and data quality frameworks. 
  • Conducts code reviews, mentors other developers, and provides guidance on development standards, code management, release management, environment management, process flows, and documentation. 
  • Explores all technical options when considering a solution, including MDM platform capabilities, custom development, third-party solutions, enterprise platforms, APIs, and existing technology components.  
  • Actively leads collaborative efforts through all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. 
  • Designs and supports integrations between Location MDM platforms and enterprise applications, including ERP, Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Real Estate, GIS, Finance, and Customer systems. 
  • Develops and maintains location data quality, validation, matching, survivorship, enrichment, and governance processes. 
  • Partners with Data Governance and business stakeholders to establish and enforce location master data standards, business rules, and stewardship processes. 
  • Leads troubleshooting efforts for production issues of all levels and severities, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action plans to prevent recurring incidents. 
  • Monitors production environments and proactively identifies opportunities to improve data quality, system stability, performance, and operational efficiency. 
  • Supports critical production incidents, service requests, and enhancement activities for Location MDM platforms and related integrations. 
  • Develops technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, integration specifications, support procedures, and operational runbooks. 
  • Leads efforts to identify, monitor, and resolve data discrepancies across master and downstream systems. 
  • Collaborates with IT, QA, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and business teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across enterprise systems. 
  • Oversees third-party technology partners and vendors, including deliverables, service-level agreements, support activities, quality standards, and operational performance. 
  • Performs impact analysis for location data changes and coordinates implementation activities across dependent systems and business functions.  
  • Participates in release planning, deployment activities, and post-deployment production validation efforts. 
  • Leads initiatives to automate monitoring, reconciliation, alerting, and operational support processes to improve platform reliability and supportability.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in eCommerce, eBusiness, information technology or related field preferred
  • 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience in a development role in an enterprise environment with responsibility for the delivery and support of world class technology solutions
  • 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience with coding experience in required language, platform, and/or technology.
  • 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience developing solutions using modern tools and practices
  • Working knowledge with code management systems
  • Working knowledge with intake and task management tools
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of development frameworks
  • Working knowledge with build tools
  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of budgets including processing invoices and other financial documents through accounting processes and practices
