We are looking for a Senior Developer who combines strong technical depth in SQL, Power BI (DAX, M, modeling, visualization), and GCP with the ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of reporting solutions from design through maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a cross-functional business environment. Experience with Alteryx is a plus but not mandatory.
Job Profile - Key Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support business decision-making
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation
- Build and maintain ETL/data preparation workflows in Alteryx (good to have)
- Develop and manage data pipelines and cloud-based analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting outputs
- Perform ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of existing reports and data models
- Document data models, business logic, and reporting standards
Hard Skills - Required:
SQL: Advanced proficiency; complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, query optimization
Power BI - DAX: Strong command of calculated columns, measures, time intelligence, context transition, iterator functions
Power BI - M (Power Query): Data shaping, custom functions, parameterized queries, API connections, error handling
Power BI - Data Modeling: Star schema design, relationships management, role-playing dimensions, composite models, incremental refresh
Power BI - Visualization: Best practices in UX/UI, storytelling with data, conditional formatting, bookmarks, drill-throughs
Power BI - Report Maintenance: Version control, workspace management, scheduled refresh, RLS implementation, performance optimization
GCP Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, or related services; understanding of cloud data architecture
Hard Skills - Nice to Have
Alteryx: Workflow design, data blending, cleansing, automation, macros
