Senior Director, Client Strategy & Integrated MarketingAbout Team 201

Team 201 is the digital agency for high-growth B2B technology brands.

We work with companies at meaningful inflection points: scaling after funding, entering new markets, repositioning their category, launching new products, building pipeline, or evolving from founder-led growth into a more mature go-to-market motion.

Our clients come to us when marketing needs to become more strategic, more integrated, and more accountable to business outcomes. We operate as an extension of their teams, helping them connect strategy, content, paid media, SEO/AEO, analytics, marketing automation, creative, and storytelling into programs that drive measurable growth.

We are entering our next stage as an agency, and you will be part of Team 201’s Senior Leadership Team and will play an active role in shaping how we grow, how we serve clients, and how we develop our people.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Director, Client Strategy & Integrated Marketing to lead a small portfolio of strategic B2B technology accounts, serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, and help elevate the way Team 201 delivers integrated marketing programs.

This is a senior leadership role for a T-shaped marketer: someone broad enough to connect the dots across the full digital marketing mix, and experienced enough to guide specialists, challenge assumptions, identify growth opportunities, and translate marketing activity into business impact.

You will be responsible for leading client relationships, developing integrated strategies, overseeing account performance, identifying opportunities for organic growth, and helping our internal teams deliver excellent work. You will partner closely with Team 201’s founders and senior team members to strengthen client retention, account profitability, team development, and agency growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will not be expected to execute every deliverable yourself, but you should be comfortable being in the weeds on the work where needed, shaping the strategy, improving the quality of thinking, and helping teams move from ambiguity to clarity.

The Mandate

Your mandate is to help Team 201 deliver deeper strategic value to our clients while building stronger, healthier, and more scalable accounts.

You will own and grow key client relationships, bring integrated marketing strategy to the table, mentor account and marketing leads, and ensure that our work is tied to the outcomes that matter most to our clients: pipeline, positioning, engagement, revenue influence, executive visibility, customer acquisition, and long-term brand growth.

You will be one of the people clients call when the problem is complex, the stakes are high, and the path forward needs to be made clear.

What You’ll DoLead and Grow Strategic Client Accounts

You will own senior relationships across a select group of important accounts, building trust with client stakeholders across marketing, communications, revenue, and executive teams.

You will be responsible for understanding each client’s business, identifying what success looks like, and ensuring that Team 201’s work is aligned with their goals.

You will:

  • Lead strategic client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Understand client business models, growth priorities, market dynamics, and internal constraints.
  • Translate client goals into clear marketing strategies, account plans, and execution priorities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, expand programs, and deepen Team 201’s value.
  • Address client dissatisfaction early and create proactive plans to strengthen relationships.
  • Partner with the founders and account leads to support client retention, organic growth, and account profitability.
  • Help clients see the bigger picture across channels, campaigns, content, data, and business outcomes.
Build Integrated Marketing Strategies

You will help clients connect the full marketing mix into programs that are strategic, measurable, and commercially relevant.

This includes working across paid media, SEO, content, demand generation, marketing automation, analytics, creative, social, CRO, thought leadership, and broader go-to-market initiatives.

You will:

  • Develop integrated marketing strategies that connect business objectives to channel strategy, messaging, campaigns, and measurement.
  • Guide the development of full-funnel B2B marketing programs across awareness, engagement, conversion, pipeline influence, and customer growth.
  • Partner with channel leads and specialists to ensure strategy is translated into strong execution.
  • Oversee planning frameworks, campaign briefs, reporting structures, and performance narratives.
  • Bring data-driven insights to clients in a way that is clear, useful, and tied to business value.
  • Help clients understand not just what happened, but what it means and what to do next.
  • Ensure that Team 201’s recommendations are strategic, practical, and aligned with each client’s operating reality.
Build and Support Hands-On Execution

This is not a strategy-only role. While you will lead the overall direction of integrated marketing programs, you will also be expected to get close to the work and support hands-on execution when needed across key client initiatives.

You should be comfortable operating inside marketing automation and CRM environments, especially HubSpot and/or Marketo, and able to guide both strategy and implementation. You do not need to be the primary builder for every workflow, report, landing page, or campaign, but you should understand how these systems work well enough to advise clients, review work, identify gaps, troubleshoot issues, and help teams move quickly and confidently.

You will:

  • Operate directly in HubSpot and/or Marketo to support campaign strategy, workflow logic, segmentation, reporting, lead management, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Help translate strategic recommendations into executable campaign plans, nurture flows, landing pages, forms, lists, reports, and automation requirements.
  • Review and improve marketing automation setups to ensure campaigns are measurable, scalable, and aligned with client goals.
  • Partner with campaign managers, content leads, paid media specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure execution matches the strategic intent.
  • Identify gaps in tracking, attribution, reporting, lead routing, lifecycle stages, or campaign operations, and recommend practical fixes.
  • Support QA and performance reviews across campaigns, automation, dashboards, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Bring a builder’s mindset to strategy, ensuring recommendations are not only smart, but operationally realistic and executable.
Elevate Client Service and Team Performance

You will help our internal teams deliver consistently excellent work while developing the next generation of account and marketing leaders at Team 201.

You will:

  • Coach account leads, campaign managers, and specialists on client strategy, communication, prioritization, and executive presence.
  • Help teams move from reactive execution to proactive account leadership.
  • Create clarity around roles, responsibilities, timelines, and expectations.
  • Support resource planning and capacity conversations to ensure accounts are staffed appropriately.
  • Help improve internal processes, planning documents, reporting standards, and ways of working.
  • Share best practices and lead internal training sessions across strategy, client service, integrated marketing, and account growth.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Contribute to Agency Growth and Leadership

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will help shape the next stage of Team 201.

You will:

  • Partner with the founders on account growth, agency positioning, service development, hiring, and team structure.
  • Contribute to new business strategy, proposals, pitches, and strategic recommendations.
  • Help identify market opportunities and ways to strengthen Team 201’s offering.
  • Participate in candidate interviews and help attract strong talent to the agency.
  • Bring a senior, thoughtful voice to leadership conversations.
  • Help ensure Team 201 grows in a way that is strategic, sustainable, and aligned with our values.

  • You have improved account planning, reporting, client communication, and growth strategy.
  • You have identified organic growth opportunities and helped turn them into clear recommendations, scopes, or next-step conversations.
  • You are coaching account and marketing leads to operate with more confidence, accountability, and strategic clarity.
In Your First 12 Months
  • You have strengthened retention, growth, and strategic value across your portfolio.
  • You have helped Team 201 improve how we lead integrated marketing programs.
  • You are a trusted voice for clients, team members, and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • You have contributed meaningfully to the agency’s next stage of growth.

About You

You are a senior B2B marketing leader who knows how to connect strategy, execution, client service, and commercial outcomes.

You are comfortable in front of senior executives and know how to communicate marketing in the language of business value. You can speak to CMOs, communications leaders, revenue leaders, founders, and cross-functional teams with confidence and clarity.

You are a T-shaped marketer. You have broad fluency across the digital marketing mix and deeper expertise in several areas, whether that is demand generation, content strategy, paid media, SEO, analytics, marketing automation, creative strategy, or go-to-market planning.

You know how to lead both the room and the work. You can guide a strategic conversation, challenge a client’s assumptions respectfully, coach a team through complexity, and help turn scattered ideas into a focused plan.

You are commercially minded. You understand that strong client service includes great work, clear communication, healthy scopes, smart resourcing, strong retention, and thoughtful account growth.

You are collaborative, low-ego, and direct. You care about building trust, developing people, and creating an environment where smart people can do their best work.

You are comfortable with ambiguity. You do not need everything to be perfectly defined before you start making progress. You can bring structure, judgment, and momentum to complex situations.
