YOUR ROLE:

If you are passionate about technology and planning and want to build strategies for some of the largest global companies, then keep reading. We are looking for a Senior Director, Experience Strategy to lead strategic planning.

As Senior Director, Experience Strategy, you will lead our strategic-planning practice, architecting omnichannel, data-driven customer journeys that deliver measurable business results. You’ll combine deep audience profiling, advanced decisioning frameworks, and holistic business insight to define “moments that matter,” map customer needs to channels and content, and establish the learning agenda and optimization plan. You’ll partner closely with Analytics, Creative, Technologists, and Client Services to bring these strategies to life—and to evolve RAPP’s suite of experience-strategy methodologies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the development of strategic deliverables for clients
  • Lead audience strategy: develop segmentation frameworks, personas, and predictive profiles to guide targeting, personalization and cross-sell/upsell opportunities
  • Define decisioning models: establish rules and algorithms (real-time and batch) for channel selection, message triggers, offer sequencing and next-best-action across the customer lifecycle
  • Architect customer journeys: map current and future-state experiences that identify key “win” moments, information needs, influencers and friction points
  • Partner with Analytics: co-define KPIs, build the learning agenda and A/B testing roadmap, ensure integrated measurement and iterative optimization
  • Drive creative briefing: synthesize data, audience insights and decisioning logic into compelling creative briefs that inspire high-performance work
  • Collaborate with Technology: advise on CDP/DMP/CRM integrations, marketing-automation and real-time decisioning platforms to operationalize strategy
  • Develop thought leadership: evangelize best practices in experience strategy, personalization and decisioning both internally and in client forums
  • Mentor and grow talent: hire, coach and develop a high-caliber team of strategists, raising the bar on frameworks, tools and methodologies
  • Support new business: lead strategic pitches, craft compelling narratives and proposals, and present to executive stakeholders
  • Stay ahead of trends: evaluate emerging data sources, profiling techniques and decisioning technologies to keep RAPP at the cutting edge

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10-12 years’ experience in demand generation, customer and digital marketing
  • Have an understanding of new techniques such agentic AI, programmatic media and marketing automation platforms and how they work together to create adaptable, always-on, measurable experiences
  • Experience working on a large, integrated accounts is a plus
  • Curious above all

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
