The Senior Director of Fiduciary Administration leads the standards, governance, and risk practices that support consistent and compliant fiduciary administration across Associated Trust Company. This role has a direct impact on client outcomes by strengthening administration practices, supporting complex fiduciary decisions, and helping trust teams deliver high-quality service. The leader will also develop fiduciary talent, improve processes, and partner closely across Trust and Advisory Services, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.What you'll do:
- Develop fiduciary policies, procedures, administration standards, and governance frameworks that support consistent execution and strong oversight.
- Lead fiduciary officers and trust administration professionals by providing direction, coaching, performance oversight, and workflow guidance.
- Drive consistency in fiduciary administration practices, service standards, documentation expectations, and account review processes across trust teams.
- Identify fiduciary risks within administration processes and support timely escalation, mitigation, and remediation.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Operations, investment management, and Trust and Advisory Services to maintain a strong control environment.
- Advise on complex fiduciary matters, including governing document interpretation, discretionary decisions, and higher-risk account actions.
- Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and fiduciary committee work by providing subject matter expertise and coordination.
- Improve fiduciary training, best practices, administration playbooks, and process efficiency to strengthen team capability and reduce risk.
What you'll bring:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in fiduciary administration, trust, estate, or related services within a bank or trust company environment.
- 12+ years of experience managing complex fiduciary relationships and administration practices.
- 10+ years of leadership experience guiding fiduciary teams or functions, including coaching, performance management, workflow oversight, and partnership with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit on fiduciary matters.
- Master’s degree, Juris Doctor, or advanced coursework or certifications in fiduciary administration, estate planning, or tax.
- Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation.
- Certified Financial Planner designation.
- Advanced degree in law, taxation, accounting, or financial planning.
