What is The Role
As the Senior Director, GTM Executive Communications, Strategy & Operations, you will lead the organization tasked with transforming Elastic's go-to-market strategy into clear, compelling, and actionable communications that enable execution across our global revenue organization.

Reporting to Global Revenue Operations, you will serve as the strategic communications partner to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Revenue Operations Team, ensuring business priorities are translated into communications, programs, and experiences that align leaders, equip managers, and enable the field to execute with confidence.

Your organization has three main areas of focus. They are Executive Communications, Communications Strategy and Operations, and Executive Engagement Programs. Collectively, these functions establish the narrative, governance, and operating model that drive consistent execution across the GTM organization.

This role extends beyond traditional internal communications. You will create the GTM narrative. You will update communications with AI and scalable operations. You will manage executive programs. These programs will improve customer relationships and accelerate business results.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead GTM Narrative & Communications Strategy
  • Define the communications strategy that supports Elastic's GTM priorities and business objectives.
  • Translate complex ideas into simple and clear messages. These ideas include annual planning, sales strategies, compensation, launching products, changes in the organization, and operational strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CRO and executive executive team team on strategic communications and change management.
Drive Executive Communications & Operations
  • Lead executive messaging, presentations, keynotes, management communications, and field-facing content for the CRO and GTM management team team.
  • Establish rules for communication and editorial standards. Create content operations and workflows that use AI. Set up measurements to improve clarity, consistency, and adoption in the organization.
  • Build scalable communications frameworks, toolkits, and manager enablement that reinforce strategic priorities and drive execution.
Lead Executive Engagement Programs
  • Provide strategic oversight for Elastic's executive engagement portfolio. This portfolio includes the Customer Innovation Center (CIC), the Executive Sponsorship Program, the Net Promoter Score (NPS), and future executive initiatives.
  • Lead program leaders responsible for delivering consistent, measurable executive experiences that strengthen customer relationships and support GTM growth.
  • Establish governance, success metrics, and executive reporting to measure program impact and identify opportunities for innovation.
Enable Organizational Change
  • Create communication strategies. These strategies will support changes in the organization. They will also update the operating model and important go-to-market initiatives.
  • Partner across Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Legal, and People to ensure coordinated, timely, and effective communications that drive adoption and business impact.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of management experience in Executive Communications, Revenue Operations, GTM Strategy, Sales Operations, Chief of Staff, GTM Enablement, or Strategic Communications, including experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business strategy into compelling executive narratives that influence decision-making and accelerate field execution.
  • You should have a remarkable executive presence. You also need solid skills in technical writing and stakeholder management. Experience working directly with senior executives is required.
  • You should have a deep knowledge of SaaS go-to-market operating models. This includes annual planning, sales motions, territory strategy, forecasting, and making changes in the organization.
  • Experience in building communication operations that can grow. Knowledge of governance and workflows that use AI for content. Involvement in executive programs in a fast-growing B2B environment.
  • Experience designing executive involvement programs and communications infrastructure that scale with a growing global GTM organization.
