About the Team
At Capital One, the Consumer & Developer Experience (CDX) team brings Product, Tech, and Design together to build and scale innovative products and user-obsessed platforms that inspire trust and loyalty. Driven by a mission to create unparalleled digital connections, we deliver transformative, customer-centric experiences that empower users throughout their financial journeys while directly accelerating business growth. As part of CDX, you will sit at the intersection of customer empathy and enterprise scale, shaping foundational platforms and best-in-class products that define how millions of customers interact with Capital One every day.
Our team is scaling significantly across several core strategic pillars to drive impact across AI, platform infrastructure, and greenfield products:
  • Developer Experience (DevX): Building AI tools and platforms that transform how our engineering teams build and operate software.
  • Marketing & Messaging Delivery (MMD): Owning high-throughput communication engines that deliver billions of real-time interactions.
  • Experience Platforms (XP): Driving quality and UI/UX consistency across all customer-facing digital channels.
  • Enterprise Services & Supplier Product, Risk & Operations (ESPRO): Leading greenfield initiatives from the ground up to build first-of-its-kind enterprise supplier and operational platforms.

In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 7 years of Product Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
McLean, VA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
New York, NY: $294,100 - $335,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
Riverwoods, IL: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
San Francisco, CA: $294,100 - $335,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
