About Engine
Engine is the all-in-one travel and spend management platform trusted by 38K+ businesses and groups representing 1.8M+ travelers. We're the retailer and the rails of business travel, one of the fastest-growing companies in travel tech, built on a decade of proprietary technology, supply, and pricing no one else can replicate. Other travel and AI companies run on our infrastructure to book real trips, hold rates, and move payments, without building any of it themselves. We built it, AI-forward at every layer, from how travelers book to how the rails run.
That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).
We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.

Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.

About the Role

In-person experiences are becoming an increasingly important part of how Engine connects with prospects and customers. We’re looking for a highly organized, hands-on Senior Events Specialist who can help us execute a growing portfolio of events while keeping the business outcome in view. This is not a role for someone who only plans a great-looking booth. You’ll own the details that make events run smoothly, partner closely with Growth, Sales, Marketing Operations, Brand, Supply and Partnerships, and help ensure the work before and after an event supports pipeline and measurable event impact.

Your Mission

You’ll join at an important moment for the Events team: the organization is increasing its investment in in-person and experiential marketing, the foundation for execution is already in place, and the team is preparing for a significantly larger event calendar. You should be comfortable getting into the details, moving quickly across multiple events at once, and being the person who makes sure teams are truly set up for success on the ground.

What You'll Own

  • End-to-End Event Execution: Support the full event lifecycle from business case and approvals through logistics, on-site execution, teardown, post-event reporting, and follow-up.
  • Event Logistics & Production: Coordinate booth setup, venue and vendor needs, A/V, Wi-Fi, lead scanners, shipping, print materials, signage, swag, food and beverage, rentals, and other details required to execute successfully.
  • Project Management: Build and maintain detailed project plans, task lists, timelines, and stakeholder updates in Asana so multiple events can move forward at the same time without details slipping through the cracks.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Sales, Marketing Operations, Brand, Supply, Partnerships, and Growth to understand the business objective for each event and translate it into a clear execution plan.
  • Marketing Operations & Lead Management: Partner with GTM systems and Marketing Operations to support Salesforce campaign setup, attendee and lead-list uploads, routing, data hygiene, enrichment, and the pre- and post-event workflows that enable follow-up.
  • Pre- and Post-Event Activation: Help ensure the right teams are completing outreach before events and that leads, opportunities, feedback, and follow-up are captured after events. For us, an event is not finished when the booth comes down.
  • Event Measurement: Support event reporting, feedback collection, and ROI evaluation so the team can understand performance, identify opportunities, and inform future event decisions.
  • On-Site Ownership: Travel to priority Tier 1 and Tier 2 events and provide hands-on support with setup, breakdown, attendee flow, booth readiness, and whatever else is needed to execute well.
  • High-Volume Execution: Stay organized across a fast-moving calendar that can include 5-7 events in a week, with events at different stages of planning and execution.

What You’ll Bring to Engine

  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, event operations, field/event coordination, or a similar role with meaningful ownership of detailed logistics.
  • A marketer’s mindset: you understand that events are a demand-generation channel and can connect execution to lead follow-up, pipeline, ROI, and business outcomes—not just the on-site experience.
  • Hands-on execution experience. You are comfortable doing the work yourself—from coordinating vendors and materials to booth setup and teardown—rather than relying on outside planners for every detail.
  • Experience managing multiple events or complex projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment; high-volume event experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working in Salesforce or another CRM, including event campaigns, lead/attendee lists, routing, data hygiene, and follow-up workflows.
  • Strong Asana proficiency and the ability to create clear, scalable project plans and workflows.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, sourcing and scheduling deliverables, tracking budgets/expenses, and managing event materials, swag, print, and fulfillment.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and keep cross-functional partners aligned.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and event requests may come together quickly.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% for priority events and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Nice to Have

  • B2B trade show, conference, sponsorship, or exhibitor experience.
  • Experience supporting sales-driven, growth, or demand-generation events.
  • Experience with gifting or fulfillment platforms such as Sendoso, Reachdesk, or similar.
  • Swag and print-production coordination experience.
  • Hospitality or travel industry experience.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
