Job Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the analysis and development of the financial information required to successfully support the company’s goals and objectives. Work with people at all levels of the organization (senior management, functional leadership and staff) to report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance and is primarily focused on the development, review and distribution of financial reports, presentations and metrics to support the operational performance of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiate and lead weekly review and forecast of current business trends.
  • Prepare financial reporting materials for the company’s Board and executive management and provide financial analysis for other stakeholders.
  • Update various management reports (trends, KPI’s, overhead expenses, etc.)
  • Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget and forecast.
  • Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports and presentations as requested.
  • Develop analysis regarding key customers, new business opportunities and other operational areas.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing Team to help facilitate a bridge between Finance and Commercial initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Accounting Team to support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process to ensure timely reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Other Duties:

  • Research variances to ensure data accuracy.
  • Follow up on related data quality issues; assist in the continued development of modeling tools.
  • Provide backup and support to the Pricing Team located within the FP&A Group
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have direct reports.

COMPETENCIES - SKILLS

  • Able to conduct analysis and tasks with limited supervision; possess a solutions-oriented attitude when tasked with new projects.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to set goals and objectives to efficiently meet tasks.
  • Self-motivated to be able to lead projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in a similar Finance role; Leasing or automotive industry exposure is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and understanding of macros and data cubes is required.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work Environment:  This position is in Des Plaines, Illinois and operates in a professional office environment. This role has a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite).
  • Positions Type/Standard Schedule:  This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
  • Travel:  Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
  • Physical Demands:  Speak, hear, and see, and to use hand and fingers for computer keyboard and phone. Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Reach above head to pull paper attachments.
