This role involves designing and maintaining Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions, reverse engineering codebases, collaborating with teams, and ensuring system performance and reliability.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience with a strong background in Guidewire ClaimCenter, Java, and Spring Boot. This role requires an individual who is not only proficient in implementing and customizing Guidewire solutions but also capable of reverse engineering existing codebases to enhance system functionality and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and maintain Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions tailored to business needs.
- Reverse Engineer Existing Codebases to understand legacy implementations and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate Guidewire ClaimCenter with external systems using robust APIs and frameworks.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of ClaimCenter implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ClaimCenter and its integrations.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Expert-level knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter Configuration and Integration development.
- Proficiency in Java (Java 21 preferred) with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and modular programming.
- Experience in Spring Boot (3.4.x preferred) for building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proven ability to reverse engineer and analyze existing codebases to extract business logic and improve system design.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire Data Model, Gosu scripting, and Guidewire Studio.
- Hands-on experience with integration frameworks, including SOAP and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working within Agile teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Guidewire certification (e.g., ClaimCenter Specialist, Configuration Developer, Integration Developer) is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) for Guidewire add-ons.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in Guidewire implementations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
