The opportunity:
This is a critical role within our HRIS team, focusing on the core areas of US Payroll, absence, and time tracking within the Workday platform. You'll partner closely with HR Operations globally and our IT teams to ensure our systems are robust, compliant, and user-friendly. Day-to-day, you might be configuring new Workday modules, troubleshooting complex payroll issues, or driving process improvements for absence management. We're looking for someone who thrives on solving intricate problems and enjoys seeing the direct impact of their work on Flexport's global workforce. Join us in building scalable, efficient HR systems that empower our people and support our rapid growth.
You will:
- Manage and optimize Workday configurations and processes for US Payroll, absence, and time tracking.
- Provide expert support and configuration across various Workday modules, including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Integrations.
- Collaborate with HR Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and resolve complex HRIS issues.
- Lead or actively participate in HRIS projects, from system enhancements to new module implementations and process improvements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within Workday, including regular audits and accurate reporting.
You should have:
- 8+ years of experience in HRIS, with a strong focus on Workday.
- Deep functional expertise in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
- Demonstrated experience with other Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Integrations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex system issues, troubleshoot, and implement effective, scalable solutions.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of partnering with global HR, IT, and business teams.
- A 'compliance first' attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
