Process Technology (PT) is a Strategic Business Group at Honeywell focused on delivering technology‑driven solutions that enable customers to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance in process‑intensive industries. The business provides advanced process technologies, digital solutions, and domain expertise to help customers optimize energy usage, reduce emissions, and support sustainable operations across industrial and energy markets.

The Senior IT Business Partner - Manufacturing serves as the primary technology partner to plant operations, engineering, and quality organizations. This role is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and advancing manufacturing technology systems across production execution, automation, quality management, and plant-floor data integration. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational technology (OT) with strong IT skills to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for manufacturing, warehousing teams, building trusted relationships with plant managers, production supervisors, process engineers, and quality leaders.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from plant-floor stakeholders; translate them into functional specifications and technical solution designs.
  • Lead or participate in manufacturing system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects from requirements through go-live and hypercare.
  • Develop and maintain the manufacturing IT roadmap in alignment with the enterprise technology strategy and plant operational goals.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 application support, root-cause analysis, and incident management for manufacturing platforms, ensuring minimal production downtime.
  • License management, and SLA tracking for third-party supply chain applications.
  • Manage application integrations, data flows, and API connections between supply chain systems and the enterprise data platform.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, SOPs, disaster recovery plans, and training materials.
  • Facilitate change management, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user training for system updates and new deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, SOX controls, data-integrity standards, and cybersecurity policies.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing processes, plant-floor systems.
  • Experience with IT/OT integration protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more manufacturing technology platforms (MES, Historian, QMS, CMMS, or ERP manufacturing modules).

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
  • Strong experience in supply chain analytics or related fields.
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable presenting to plant leadership and senior management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations: production scheduling, work-order management, quality control, maintenance planning, and shop-floor data collection.

The salary range for this position is $102,000 - $154,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
