Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Investment Analyst as part of the Corporate Plans Investment Team in Investment Solutions for Wealth & Investment Management.
The Team's responsibility is to support the named investment fiduciary for the Wells Fargo Employee Retirement Plans, including the Wells Fargo & Company 401(k) Plan and Wells Fargo & Company Cash Balance Plan.
This role is ideal for professionals experienced in institutional manager research, investment due diligence, multi-asset portfolio design, and qualified retirement plan oversight.

In this role, you will:
- Support the Team in all aspects of its responsibilities including but not limited to oversight of investment managers, adherence to the Plans' objectives, and evaluation of plan design.
- Perform initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring of third-party investment managers (mutual funds, CITs, SMAs, etc.) consistent with established procedures.
- Play a key role in initial due diligence, including sourcing and evaluating new investment managers and ensuring process quality and integrity.
- Complete structured ongoing investment manager reviews using both qualitative and quantitative criteria, including periodic on-site travel.
- Contribute to the implementation of investment manager changes, including coordination with internal and external partners.
- Support the monitoring of Plans for adherence to guidelines, including rebalancing and liquidity raising activities as needed.
- Evaluate the design and monitor effectiveness of multi-asset portfolios.
- Be a key contributor in developing, enhancing, and delivering materials for scheduled reporting and ad hoc projects to be reviewed with the Plans investment fiduciary.
- Support a wide range of various other projects related the Team's responsibilities.
- 5+ years of Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of advanced experience working in a senior role sourcing and monitoring third-party investment managers.
- Experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, including statistical and performance analytics on investments.
- Advanced financial analytical experience with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
- Demonstrated experience with asset allocation and portfolio construction within a multi-asset framework.
- Project management experience and proven ability to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Experience with Morningstar Direct, FactSet and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AI applications is plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Travel up to 15%
