Step into the role of a Sr Lead Infrastructure Architect at JPMorganChase and play a key role in enabling the adoption of cloud-based technologies across the firm's lines of business. This is an opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with a customer-facing mindset, driving meaningful impact at enterprise scale while growing your career within a world-class engineering organization.

As a Sr Lead Infrastructure Architect at JPMorganChase within Infrastructure Platforms (Cloud Foundations), you partner with internal customers to accelerate their adoption of the firm's cloud platform, delivering technical guidance, tooling, and enablement that reduces friction and improves time-to-value. You bring both depth and breadth across infrastructure architecture, translating platform capabilities into practical outcomes for the engineering teams you support — while contributing to the architectural coherence and long-term direction of the platform.

Job responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering teams across lines of business to guide end-to-end cloud platform adoption, including boundary creation, migration workflows, and platform onboarding
  • Apply deep infrastructure architecture knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to initiatives of moderate-to-high complexity, delivering high-quality, innovative, and functional design outcomes
  • Contribute to multi-year adoption roadmaps by surfacing customer needs, blockers, and patterns to product and architecture teams, driving thought leadership that influences platform direction
  • Build and maintain technical enablement tooling — automation scripts, guided workflows, and self-service capabilities — that reduce manual effort and scale the team's support capacity across the firm
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate platform documentation and training materials aligned with current product state, supporting engineering communities at scale
  • Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate enablement work, including documentation, tooling development, and customer interaction support, with appropriate validation and data handling
  • Identify recurring customer friction points and translate them into actionable product feedback and engineering improvement requests
  • Evaluate recommendations for new infrastructure architecture technologies and provide structured feedback to leaders and product teams
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs for platform adopters, enabling engineering teams to onboard and operate effectively

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience with cloud platform delivery, including application deployment, infrastructure configuration, and operational support
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure architecture principles, including networking, identity and access management, and environment governance
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with experience writing automation scripts and platform tooling
  • Ability to analyze current-state infrastructure and make well-reasoned recommendations for future-state architecture aligned to resiliency and security expectations
  • Ability to understand the needs of the customer and reflect those needs through infrastructure design, providing clear feedback to leaders
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted infrastructure recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working directly with internal or external customers in a technical advisory or support capacity
  • Practical cloud-native experience across modern platform delivery environments

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working at code level on platform or infrastructure tooling, including cloud landing zone and boundary constructs
  • Familiarity with agentic AI tooling and its application to platform operations and engineering productivity
  • Background in developer experience, technical enablement, or platform advocacy roles
  • Experience contributing to technical documentation programs or delivering engineering training at scale
  • Experience with cloud landing zone and boundary constructs across enterprise-scale environments
