Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MercerRx Pharmacy Practice at Mercer. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in one of our US based Mercer office locations.

As a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Actuarial or Financial Consultant, you will serve as a senior resource within the Actuarial Financial Group (AFG), focusing on reviewing policy and modeling issues related to pharmacy trends. You will lead consulting engagements with large employers regarding the financial evaluation of pharmacy benefit plans and assist in negotiations with benefits carriers and vendors.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage pharmacy projects and junior staff in program reviews, financial assessments, implementations, plan design analyses, and financial projections.

  • Establish effective relationships with carriers and vendors to enhance client benefits procurement and administration.

  • Leverage Mercer's size and reputation to negotiate competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors.

  • Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies while effectively communicating industry financial trends to clients and Mercer H&B consultants.

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS degree required; master’s degree highly valued.

  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis consulting.

  • Superior analytical and mathematical skills, along with excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $150,500 to $301,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
