Job Description

The Senior Manager of Brand Strategy leads the development and evolution of the company’s brand strategy for both flagship and legacy products, ensuring the brand is clearly positioned, consistently expressed, and aligned with business growth objectives. This role owns the brand narrative, identity, and organic social media strategy, translating customer insights and market trends into a compelling and differentiated brand presence. 

Reporting to the Director and leading a team of brand and social professionals, the Senior Manager partners closely with marketing, product, sales, brand activation, and creative teams to embed brand strategy across campaigns, customer experiences, and go-to-market initiatives. This role serves as the primary steward of the brand, ensuring consistency, relevance, and impact across all customer touchpoints while strengthening brand awareness, engagement, and long-term brand equity. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the evolution, articulation, and internal adoption of a comprehensive brand strategy that supports company growth, strengthens differentiation, and guides all marketing and customer communications for Brightspeed’s flagship fiber product as well as legacy DSL product 

  • Serve as the primary steward of the brand, ensuring alignment between brand strategy, business objectives, and customer experience across all channels. 

  • Own and evolve the company’s brand identity system—including visual expression, tone of voice, brand narrative, and guidelines—to ensure consistency, scalability, and relevance. 

  • Oversee brand governance process and educate internal teams to ensure consistent application of brand standards across marketing, product, sales, field operations, brand activation and customer experience teams. 

  • Develop and maintain clear brand positioning and messaging frameworks that translate complex products and services into compelling customer value. 

  • Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints including paid media, CRM, e-commerce, local marketing, PR, and internal communications. 

  • Guide the strategic development of brand campaigns and brand storytelling across marketing channels, ensuring the narrative is consistently expressed across the customer journey. 

  • Collaborate with product, go-to-market, sales, and marketing leaders to embed brand strategy into product launches, customer experiences, and commercial initiatives. 

  • Act as a strategic partner across the organization to ensure brand considerations inform key business decisions. 

  • Define and monitor key brand performance metrics including awareness, consideration, perception, engagement, and reputation. 

  • Identify emerging opportunities and industry trends that can strengthen brand relevance, differentiation, and customer connection and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership on brand performance and growth opportunities. 

  • Oversee relationships with external brand, creative, and social media agencies to ensure strategic alignment, strong creative output, and effective execution. 

  • Lead and develop a team of brand and social media professionals, fostering a high-performing culture of strategic thinking, creativity, and brand stewardship. 

  • Establish clear priorities, workflows, and professional development opportunities to strengthen brand capabilities across the team. 

  • Oversee the development and execution of the company’s organic social media strategy including content strategy and channel prioritization ensuring alignment to broader brand strategy to strengthen brand awareness, credibility, and sentiment. 

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or integrated marketing, with a significant portion in a strategic leadership role. 

  • 3–5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing marketing or brand teams. 

  • Demonstrated experience developing and evolving enterprise brand strategies, including brand positioning, identity systems, and messaging architecture. 

  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into brand strategy that drives measurable growth and customer engagement. 

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders across marketing, product, sales, and executive leadership. 

  • Strong background in brand campaign strategy and integrated marketing, ensuring consistent storytelling across paid, owned, and earned channels. 

  • Experience overseeing organic social media strategy and brand voice across multiple platforms. 

  • Demonstrated success managing agencies and external partners to deliver high-impact creative and brand initiatives. 

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience defining and interpreting brand health metrics, awareness studies, and brand performance data. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to educate and influence teams across the organization. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
