We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale enterprise services built on Java and Python, with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (IDM), cloud-native platforms (Azure or equivalent), and GenAI-powered capabilities.
This role blends technical depth, people leadership, and execution excellence, driving high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions while growing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Job DescriptionEngineering Leadership & Delivery
- Lead a high-performing engineering team delivering enterprise-grade Java and Python microservices at scale.
- Own end-to-end delivery: planning, execution, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Drive cloud-native architectures using Azure (or equivalent) with a focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Ensure strong SDLC discipline, CI/CD automation, and production readiness.
Identity & Security
- Lead development and integration of IDM / CIAM solutions (authentication, authorization, SSO, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC).
- Partner with Security teams to embed secure-by-design principles, compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Champion application security best practices across SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets management.
GenAI & Innovation
- Identify and drive practical GenAI use cases across platforms (e.g., developer productivity, intelligent workflows, data insights).
- Guide teams in integrating LLMs, APIs, and AI services responsibly, with attention to governance, privacy, and cost controls.
- Balance innovation with enterprise standards and operational maturity.
People & Talent Leadership
- Hire, coach, and develop senior/mid/Jr engineers.
- Set clear goals, expectations, and career paths; conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, and Business stakeholders to align priorities and roadmaps.
- Translate business needs into technical strategy and execution plans.
- Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to executive audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering management.
- Strong hands-on background in Java and/or Python enterprise services and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
- Solid understanding of IDM / IAM / CIAM concepts and implementations.
- Experience leading teams building high-availability, secure, distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex programs on time with high quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating or building GenAI-powered solutions in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, APIs, and service mesh patterns.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, observability, and SRE practices.
- Experience managing large, globally distributed teams.
- Cloud or security certifications (Azure, AWS, CISSP, etc.).
Additional information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: 114,800.00 - 157,800.00 Annual USD
Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
