Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Finance Insights & Decision Support is a founding leadership role responsible for establishing and growing Finance Intelligence's Finance Insights & Decision Support capability. This role partners directly with Pharmacy Services (PS) Finance stakeholders to identify emerging risks, opportunities, trends, and business questions that are not fully addressed through existing reporting and analytics. Through analytical investigation, business partnership, and decision-support practices, this leader helps stakeholders better understand what matters, why it matters, and what actions should be considered. While initially operating as a hands-on individual contributor, this role is expected to define the methodology, operating model, and future direction of the function, including helping shape its long-term growth and team structure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and evolve the Finance Insights & Decision Support methodology, engagement model, and operating standards.
  • Partner directly with finance and business stakeholders to identify business challenges, decision points, information gaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead structured investigations into ambiguous questions, unexpected performance, emerging trends, and other business signals not fully addressed through established reporting
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable insights, executive-ready materials, and clear recommendations that communicate business implications and support informed decision-making
  • Apply analytical, statistical, forecasting, AI-enabled, machine learning, and decision-science techniques when appropriate to address business problems.
  • Determine the most appropriate analytical approach based on business impact rather than methodological complexity.
  • Identify opportunities to operationalize proven insights into recurring reporting, monitoring, metrics, or analytical solutions.
  • Define the long-term vision, talent strategy, capability roadmap, and future organizational structure of the Finance Insights & Decision Support function.
  • Mentor others and help promote analytical and decision-support best practices across Finance Intelligence.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, finance, business intelligence, strategy, consulting, decision support, data science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience applying analytical techniques such as exploratory analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, hypothesis testing, and structured problem solving to business challenges.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, machine learning, advanced analytics, or modern analytical technologies to improve business understanding and support decision-making.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience building, leading, scaling, or helping establish teams, capabilities, functions, or major initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (including by plane)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling an analytics, insights, strategy, or decision-support function.
  • Finance, FP&A, healthcare, PBM, or other complex business-domain experience.
  • Experience applying predictive analytics, machine learning, AI, or advanced analytical techniques to business challenges.
  • Consulting, strategy, transformation, or business advisory experience.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience operationalizing exploratory insights into recurring business processes, analytical solutions, or reporting capabilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving business, analytics, and technology teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics or related fields; equivalent years of work experience may substitute.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
