About The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager within the Finance organization, you will serve as a strategic finance leader and trusted partner to senior executives, owning financial planning and performance for key areas of the business. You will lead the development of financial strategy, translate business objectives into actionable plans, and drive accountability for results.

In this role, you will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with company-wide priorities and growth objectives. You will proactively identify risks and opportunities, shape critical business decisions, and influence the strategic direction of the organization. By partnering cross-functionally with leaders across the organization, you will embed finance into key operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making at all levels.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and strong leadership to drive business performance and scale the finance function alongside company growth.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for key areas of the business, driving accountability for results and ensuring alignment with company goals

  • Shape strategic decisions by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that directly impact revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability

  • Lead and scale forecasting and planning processes, improving accuracy, speed, and transparency across the organization

  • Partner with senior leaders to define priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and drive execution against strategic initiatives

  • Build and develop a high-performing team, setting standards for analytical rigor, business partnership, and operational excellence

  • Design and implement scalable financial processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to support a growing and evolving business

  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, driving cross-functional alignment to mitigate challenges and capture upside

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, systems implementation, analytics, or related fields

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management

  • Demonstrated ability to own financial planning and performance for a business unit or function, with strong understanding of P&L drivers

  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across cross-functional teams

  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively

  • Track record of building and scaling financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and bias for action

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

Illinois Base Salary: $134,000-$141,500 per year.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
