Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning and Development (Commercial) to design, build, and execute a best-in-class global training and enablement program for our growing commercial organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring our sales, field applications, and commercial teams are equipped with the scientific, sales, and market knowledge needed to successfully position Alamar’s proteomics solutions.

This individual will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Product Management to deliver scalable, high-impact training programs that drive performance, accelerate onboarding, and support continued commercial excellence as we grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Strategy & Program Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive commercial training strategy aligned with Alamar’s growth objectives
  • Build structured onboarding programs for new hires across Sales, FAS, and commercial roles
  • Develop ongoing training curricula including:
    • Product knowledge (platform, assays, software, competitive positioning)
    • Scientific fluency (proteomics, biomarker discovery, clinical applications)
    • Sales skills and territory execution

Content Development & Delivery

  • Create engaging, high-quality training materials (presentations, e-learning modules, playbooks, certifications) in close collaboration with marketing, product and sales
  • Establish instruction design standards and requirements for use by content development partners including marketing and product management
  • Deliver live and virtual training sessions, including:
    • New hire onboarding
    • Product launches
    • Sales meetings and regional workshops
  • Ensure training content remains current, accurate, and aligned with evolving product and market dynamics

Field Enablement & Performance Support

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify skill gaps and performance opportunities
  • Conduct ride-alongs and field observations to reinforce training and coaching
  • Develop tools and resources (customer personas, talk tracks, objection handling, competitive messaging) to enable field success

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Marketing to align messaging and campaigns
  • Product Management on new product launches
  • Medical Affairs/Scientific teams to ensure technical accuracy
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for commercial training initiatives across the organization

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness (e.g., ramp time, win rates, certification completion)
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and continuously refine programs
  • Leverage data to drive improvements in training content and delivery models

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in:
  • Global commercial training / sales enablement, or
  • Sales, FAS, or marketing roles within life sciences/biotech
  • Strong understanding of life sciences tools, diagnostics, or proteomics/genomics markets
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs for technical audiences

Preferred

  • Experience supporting high-growth biotech organizations
  • Familiarity with proteomics, biomarker research, or translational science workflows
  • Experience with LMS platforms and digital learning tools
  • Background in selling into pharma, biotech, and academic research customers
  • Clinical and diagnostic market experience

The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
