Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Senior Manager, Paid Media is the operational engine behind Chamberlain's $78M paid media portfolio — translating enterprise strategy into channel plans, agency briefs, and performance recommendations that drive enrollment growth across Chamberlain University.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Media & Advertising, this role owns the day-to-day health of a full-funnel media ecosystem including but not limited to paid search, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, CTV/OTT, streaming audio, digital out-of-home, and affiliate. The ideal candidate brings platform depth, analytical rigor, and the communication fluency to bridge agency partners, analytics teams, and senior stakeholders — operating as a trusted translator between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own budget pacing, forecasting, accruals, and financial health across the full $78M portfolio — the non-negotiable foundation of this role.
  • Translate enterprise media strategy into channel-level plans, agency briefs, and execution timelines; manage day-to-day agency relationships with accountability for output quality and strategic alignment.
  • Synthesize cross-channel performance into clear reallocation recommendations  — including MMM, incrementality, and Salesforce attribution inputs.
  • Build and maintain reporting infrastructure — dashboards, pacing summaries, and executive-ready performance updates — that enable timely, confident decision-making.
  • Prioritize and manage the test-and-learn roadmap, ensuring experiments are properly designed, measured, and translated into applied strategy — not just documented and shelved.
  • Lead execution of special initiatives (Elevate, SSM, new campus launches), coordinating across creative, web, enrollment, and analytics to keep programs resourced and on-track.
  • Prepare and present performance summaries and budget reviews for senior leadership and cross-functional audiences.
  • Identify performance risks and escalate with well-framed recommendations, not just alerts
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in marketing required or a related field required and Master's Degree MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of marketing experience in a corporate marketing or advertising agency environment required
  • Sharp, strategic marketer with a blend of direct marketing and brand marketing experience required
  • Proven local marketing experience required and experience working in an inquiry generation setting for a direct sales force preferred
  • Educational experience preferred
  • Experience managing budgets required
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
