Make Your Mark:

The Senior Manager, Physical Safety and Security will lead the strategy, operational execution, and continuous improvement of BlackLine’s physical security, environmental health & safety (EHS), life safety, and crisis management programs across all global offices.
This role serves as the primary subject matter authority responsible for safeguarding BlackLine’s people, facilities, and assets while ensuring compliance with global safety regulations and building standards.
The Workplace Services team at BlackLine is energetically focused on the individual employee and manifesting the BlackLine brand with fresh, vibrant, and inspiring workplace experiences. The Senior Manager will collaborate with the greater Workplace Services teams in the US, EMEA and APAC and be a key partner with leaders of BlackLine’s various business units.

You'll Get To:

  • Support the Vice President of Real Estate & Workplace in achieving the global workplace policies, goals, and initiatives, and be an engaged, active participant in the Global Workplace Services team.
  • Oversee the administration, maintenance, and modernization of global Physical Access Control Systems, enterprise video management systems, visitor management platforms, and emergency notification systems.
  • Partner with Real Estate, IT, and project managers to lead security planning and define security design specifications, hardware procurement, and commissioning for new office buildouts and expansions. Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement, installation, maintenance, and support contracts.
  • Manage contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) for security guard services, physical security integrators, monitoring centers, and EHS consultants.
  • Conduct regular physical security audits across all locations; review all security systems on a regular basis, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain full compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, local fire codes, and international workplace health and safety statutory requirements across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Direct Injury & Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP), workstation ergonomic assessments, hazard communication, and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) standards.
  • Lead investigations into workplace injuries, safety incidents, and security breaches; establish root-cause analyses and corrective action plans; maintain mandatory OSHA 300 logs and global incident metrics.
  • Cultivate a genuine connection with external entities such as external law enforcement agencies and landlords, BlackLine leadership, employees and clients, and create a people-first experience while maintaining BlackLine safety and security policies. Serve as the primary Workplace liaison for the People Team, IT, Legal, InfoSec on all matters related to physical security.

What You'll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field:  10+ years of physical security or similar related services with at least five (5) years in a corporate security environment. 

Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of physical security systems and technologies, including access control, CCTV, visitor management platforms, and emergency notification systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other relevant codes related to building and life safety
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with all BlackLine employees, external vendors, and public safety agencies
  • Experienced user of MS Office, Teams & AI tools
  • High-level of resourcefulness, confidence, and problem-solving skills
  • Organized and meticulous, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner

Salary Range:

$175,000.00-$219,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model – for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
