Job Description
Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?
Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It Matter.
How you will contribute
This is a new, dedicated earned media role within our North American Corporate & Government Affairs team. You will be part of a high-performing External Communications team driving earned media, brand storytelling, and reputation management for the Sweet Snacking portfolio, including Oreo, belVita, Chips Ahoy!, Nutter Butter and more. As the ideal candidate, you will have:
  • A proven track record driving earned media for consumer or CPG brands at scale
  • Deep relationships with national consumer, lifestyle, food, and digital media
  • Expertise in organic earned creator strategy - product seeding, mailer programs, and trend activation that generate authentic conversation
  • The instinct to spot a cultural moment and move on it in hours, not weeks
  • Experience working with PR agencies and directing day-to-day execution against earned goals
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

We're looking for someone who lives in culture - who sees a moment breaking and already knows how to connect it to the brand before anyone else does. You move fast, think editorially, and understand that the best earned media doesn't follow the news cycle - it shapes it.
  • Earned Media & Brand Storytelling: Support and execute annual earned media strategies, bringing them to life across press, creators, and cultural moments.
  • Earned Creator Strategy: Drive authentic earned creator conversation through product seeding, new launch activations, and social trend identification.
  • Earned Authority: Partner across the organization to build earned authority across AI and LLM-driven search.
  • Brand Reputation Management: Partner with leadership to serve as the brands' first line of defense. Maintain 24/7 readiness for emerging reputation risks.
  • Day-to-Day Agency Direction & Reporting: Manage day-to-day agency execution - briefing, reviewing work, and ensuring output ladders to earned goals. Track and report against KPIs including earned media value, share of voice, sentiment, organic creator mentions, and conversion impact.

More about this role - What extra ingredients you will bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in brand communications, PR, or earned media - a mix of agency and in-house experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with media monitoring and influencer platforms
  • Experience with AI-powered communications tools - generative AI, sentiment analysis, predictive media monitoring - is a plus
  • Background in food, snacking, or CPG brand communications is preferred
  • Brand reputation and crisis communications experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or Journalism
Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $140,300 to $192,940; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
