West Monroe’s IT Strategy & Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team is in search of a Senior Manager with deep systems integration sourcing and implementation experience to join our Operations Excellence practice. IT Strategy and Business Process Outsourcing Senior Managers have experience leading consulting teams, managing client relationships, and providing IT and functional strategy and process optimization solutions in support of large-scale process/technology projects and/or other transformational initiatives.

West Monroe’s Operations Excellence practice is focused on driving value from strategy through execution—not merely pointing to best practices and standards. We enable clients to realize the enduring benefits of IT, business, process, and organizational optimization by delivering real, sustainable adoption. Our solutions focus on value creation through the lenses of people, process, and technology across functional transformation and related platforms, productivity, and transformation enablement. Each consultant within our Operations Excellence practice is aligned to one of five focus areas including Financial Management, IT Strategy & Business Process Outsourcing, Productivity, Supply Chain Management, and Transformation Enablement.

What you’ll do:

  • Design the sourcing strategy and lead the strategic sourcing process for large-scale and highly complex systems integration programs for upmarket clients, including establishing and overseeing systems integrator responsibilities for solutions such as ERP, billing, and CRM.
  • Serve as a delivery leader on engagements of high complexity and scale, communicating with client sponsors directly without oversight, and exemplifying engagement management, client relationship, client satisfaction, risk management, and delivery team management skills.
  • Oversee engagement scope, budget, deliverables, profitability, work management and reporting, change management, vendor management, and team development.
  • Lead the development of deliverables by hands-on deliverable planning, providing direct input into deliverable structure, format and content, and conducting end-to-end reviews.
  • Manage the development of financial models, define data requirements, identify assumptions, model cost-benefit analysis, and structure storyboards to communicate insights and results of analysis.
  • Help set firm direction and strategy for functional area, position self as an industry expert, remain up to date on relevant technology, build methodologies, and oversee quality assurance and toolsets used within the practice.
  • Position self as a ‘go-to’ for farming and/or business development opportunities by partnering with other West Monroe practices to cross-sell capabilities to our clients, originating multiple projects, leading complex pursuits, and identifying competitive threats or market trends that require preparation.
  • Review SOW and pricing tool to ensure that projects are profitable, scope is feasible, and the project poses no reputational risk to the firm.
  • Author white papers and deliver presentations (internal and external) on innovations, best practices, and methodologies. Gain visibility and build West Monroe brand through interviews, writing articles, and/or providing quotes for trade journals.
  • Provide on-the-job training to Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants to develop their system integration sourcing skills.
  • Model and mentor Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants day-to-day in personifying West Monroe values with clients, on project teams, and within individual relationships.
  • Participate actively in the performance expectation process by acting as a Career Advisor and Coach to other consultants and providing performance feedback to advisees and project team members.
  • Actively engage in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting campus and experienced new hire consultants.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 8+ years of experience providing technology and/or business process advisory consultation, and at least 3 years of experience in a client servicing role in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience including leading teams of 2-5 consultants across multiple workstreams and projects.
  • Deep knowledge of software implementation processes including both configuration and development activities typical of large-scale complex implementations.
  • Expert program manager with extensive experience managing systems integration projects including developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, budget management, issue and risk management, and presenting deliverables.
  • Business development experience including farming leads and assisting in managing the sales process – pursuit strategy, client development cycle and tools, proposal development, fee and profitability planning, and contract management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create impactful and concise executive stakeholder-ready deliverables, and polished client-facing oral communication skills.
  • Strong data visualization and analysis skills; comfortable using tools like Excel to analyze data and present key insights in a compelling way.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated success within one or more of West Monroe Partners’ core industries including Consumer & Industrial Products, Healthcare (payer/provider), Life Sciences, High Tech & Software, Utilities, Insurance, Banking, and/or Private Equity.
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
