Senior Manager, Treasury

The Role

Ubiquiti is seeking a Senior Manager, Treasury to lead the Company’s global treasury activities. This individual will be responsible for Ubiquiti’s worldwide banking structure, cash management and forecasting, foreign exchange risk-management program, and short-term investment strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can establish the appropriate policies, systems, controls, and reporting while also managing day-to-day treasury activities. The successful candidate will provide senior management with clear visibility into Ubiquiti’s global liquidity, financial risks, and investment performance.

The position will be based in Ubiquiti’s Chicago office and reporting into the VP of Finance.

What You’ll Do

Global Banking

  • Own Ubiquiti’s global banking structure and serve as the primary contact for the Company’s banking partners.
  • Manage global bank accounts, authorized signers, online banking access, payment authorities, KYC and banking services.
  • Maintain strong controls over bank account openings and closures, user access, payment approvals, and changes to banking instructions.
  • Manage credit card programs.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, and other functions to support secure and efficient banking and payment processes.

Cash Management, Forecasting and Reporting

  • Lead the daily global cash-positioning process and maintain visibility into cash held by legal entity, currency, and financial institution.
  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term cash forecasts, including a detailed rolling monthly liquidity forecast.
  • Analyze monthly forecast-to-actual results, identify the causes of material variances, and improve the accuracy of cash-flow forecasting.
  • Review and present treasury reporting for senior management covering global cash balances, liquidity requirements, investments, foreign exchange exposures, and counterparty concentrations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the movement and use of cash across Ubiquiti’s global operations, taking into consideration operational, tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish appropriate minimum operating cash levels and identify cash available for investment or other corporate purposes.

Foreign Exchange Risk Management

  • Implement and manage Ubiquiti’s in-house foreign exchange hedging strategy.
  • Establish a consistent process for identifying, validating, consolidating, and monitoring foreign currency exposures across the Company.
  • Recommend appropriate hedge coverage, timing, instruments, and counterparties within the parameters of the Company’s approved risk-management policy.
  • Execute approved foreign exchange transactions and oversee trade confirmation, settlement, valuation, and reporting.
  • Measure and report the performance of the hedging program, including total exposures, hedge coverage, realized and unrealized results, and remaining unhedged risk.
  • Partner with Accounting to support hedge documentation, valuation, accounting treatment, internal controls, and financial-statement disclosures.

Short-Term Cash and Investment Management

  • Develop and manage Ubiquiti’s short-term cash investment strategy, balancing preservation of capital, liquidity, diversification, and yield.
  • Execute investments in accordance with the Company’s approved investment policy and delegated authority.
  • Monitor investment balances, maturities, yields, credit quality, and counterparty concentrations.
  • Maintain sufficient liquidity to meet operating requirements while maximizing the return on cash not required for immediate use.
  • Prepare regular reporting on investment portfolio composition, performance, liquidity, and compliance with policy limits.
  • Evaluate banks, money market funds, U.S. government securities, and other approved short-term investment alternatives.

Treasury Systems, Controls and Process Development

  • Maintain and review treasury policies, procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate segregation of duties and approval controls over cash, banking, foreign exchange, and investment activities.
  • Evaluate and implement treasury technology and automation opportunities, including the use of NetSuite, Kyriba, banking platforms, and other SaaS applications.
  • Improve the integration of banking, cash forecasting, accounting, foreign exchange, and investment information.
  • Support internal and external audits and SOX compliance by providing treasury documentation, reconciliations, and evidence of control performance.
  • Monitor banking security and fraud risks and promote strong access and payment controls throughout the organization.
  • Develop scalable treasury processes capable of supporting Ubiquiti’s continued growth and global operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of progressively responsible corporate treasury experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global banking, liquidity, cash forecasting, and treasury reporting.
  • Experience implementing or managing a foreign exchange hedging program, including exposure analysis, trade execution, controls, and performance reporting.
  • Experience managing short-term cash investments and evaluating liquidity, credit, concentration, and counterparty risk.
  • Strong understanding of treasury controls, banking security, payment processes, and financial risk management.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and Excel skills.
  • Ability to translate complex treasury information into clear, decision-useful reporting for senior management.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, project-management skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with Accounting, Tax, Legal, Accounts Payable, Financial Planning and Analysis, and other business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Experience working in a multinational and/or publicly traded company.
  • Exposure to SaaS-based financial and treasury systems, particularly NetSuite and Kyriba.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus but is not required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional, CPA, or another relevant professional qualification is a plus.
  • Implementing hedge strategies and familiarity with hedge accounting and the requirements of ASC 815.
  • Experience building or significantly improving a corporate treasury function.

Salary Range

$175,000–$200,000, depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
