The Senior Graphic Designer & Collateral Specialist plays a key role in bringing Wintrust’s mission and offerings to life through compelling visual communication. This position is responsible for producing and refreshing marketing and design assets across digital and print platforms to engage new and existing customers. Working in a collaborative environment, the specialist ensures brand consistency and contributes to high-quality creative deliverables that support cross-functional marketing initiatives. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential, as this role involves refreshing multiple templates and creative assets daily.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate and facilitate the art direction, formatting, and creation of digital and print marketing assets, including overall theme development and individual piece designs, ensuring alignment with brand strategy while working with other team members.
  • Submit creative deliverables within the agreed upon deadline and budget.
  • Process and approve vendor invoices as needed.
  • Enhance and implement streamlined processes to improve the accuracy, quality and efficiency of asset production while reinforcing brand consistency.
  • Guide and advise fellow employees in both the creative process and client management to foster stronger working relationships and solutions.
  • Collaborate internally as well as with clients to conceptualize and execute creative solutions to be translated across various media platforms.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, leveraging expertise, skills, and proficiencies to support organizational goals. This includes, assisting with the creation and refinement of presentations and marketing proposal decks, preparing, and customizing visual content for client-facing documents, supporting vendor research and coordination for branded materials and event collateral, monitoring industry trends to contribute fresh ideas for creative execution and content planning.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams to support multi-channel marketing initiatives and events.
  • Assist in the planning and creative process of new client acquisition. Follow all department purchasing and delivery policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and proficient in design software such as InDesign and Balsamiq.
  • Portfolio of completed design projects highlighting print and digital experience with a clean design aesthetic.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple design requests and timelines simultaneously without missing deadlines.
  • An elevated level of accuracy, and attention to written and visual details in project deliverables. Proofread all marketing copy, check links, and rigorously test design layouts across different devices and browsers to ensure a flawless user experience.
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine diverse colors, fonts, and layouts.
  • Ensure brand integrity and perfection across all visual assets, meticulously reviewing typography, color palettes, spacing, and image quality before final publication for adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Edit and format all multimedia assets, including images, videos, and infographics to suit various digital platforms and print specifications
  • Excellent communication skills while demonstrating the capacity to listen to internal clients/stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
  • Desire and ability to succeed in a demanding, creative, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience working with the nuances of legal disclosure on marketing a plus.
  • Experience in an in-house corporate design agency or agency creative department a plus.
  • Ability to own projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, with the ability to design visually appealing marketing materials, including digital ads, social media graphics, email templates, brochures, landing pages, and presentation decks.
  • Organize, maintain, and update our digital asset library so that the team always has access to the latest product imagery and approved branding.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and product updates, ensuring all marketing materials remain relevant and factual

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000 - $77,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
