The Senior Network Engineer’s contributions are instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure while collaborating closely with diverse teams, and plays a pivotal role in driving the organization's successful transition to, and management of, a cloud-based environment.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and manage the Fortigate and Palo Alto Firewalls, AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), F5 Load balancers, Cisco ACI infrastructure, Cisco routers, and Cisco Catalyst switches to ensure optimal network performance, security, and availability. Administer AWS IPAM services to ensure efficient and reliable IP address management for network devices.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in AWS technologies and enhance the ability to contribute to the successful migration process.
  • Work with management on vendor maintenance and contracts or SoW’s.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years supporting a large enterprise distributed network.
  • Must have strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewall policy design/enforcement and best practices for hardening network devices.
  • Advanced network design experience, including BGP routing, Layer 2/3 redundancy protocols, NAT/SNAT, and overlay networking (VXLAN/VPN) and/or Cisco ACI.
  • Proven experience building and operating highly available enterprise networks using the least-disruptive, lowest-risk methodologies.
  • Deep troubleshooting capability using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, nmap, tracepath, and ncat.
  • Working knowledge of single sign-on and centralized authentication (for example SAML, TACACS, and LDAP) with the ability to troubleshoot integrations.
  • Production familiarity with AWS networking constructs such as Transit Gateway, Gateway Load Balancer, Route-53, VPC Endpoints, Auto-scale EC2 cluster, and IPAM.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure management/automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent) and CLI-based configuration/administration.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise cloud networks in production environments, ideally in a hybrid colocation and AWS model.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent professional experience.
