Job Description

The Senior Pod Lead is responsible for leading a crossfunctional pod within the Client Value & Lifecycle Studio, accountable for advancing a defined set of client segment, lifeevent, or lifecycle priorities from concept through test, scale, or exit. This role owns daytoday delivery, performance, and learning for their portfolio – ensuring initiatives are clientled, economically sound, and executionready. The Senior Pod Lead partners closely with Product, Marketing, Channels, and Analytics to turn priorities into measurable outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pod leadership & execution ownership: Lead a dedicated crossfunctional pod aligned to a specific client segment, life event, or lifecycle priority. Own endtoend delivery across concept development, pilot execution, performance tracking, and scale or stop decisions. Ensure pod work aligns to Studio priorities, enterprise strategy, and capacity constraints.
  • Testandlearn execution: Translate strategic intent and hypotheses into clear test plans, success metrics, and learning agendas. Partner with Product, Marketing, Digital, Branch, and Analytics teams to execute pilots using live and synthetic data. Monitor results, surface insights, and recommend adjustments, scaling, or discontinuation.
  • Performance & outcome management: Own performance tracking for pod initiatives across client engagement, multiservice adoption, satisfaction, and retention. Ensure financial assumptions are understood, tracked, and refined in partnership with Finance and Strategy. Clearly articulate outcomes, risks, and implications to Studio and business leadership.
  • Crossfunctional coordination & handoffs: Coordinate across Lines of Business and partners to ensure feasibility, alignment, and readiness for scale. Prepare initiatives for transition into scalable operating models, working closely with Growth Studio and business owners. Reduce friction by clarifying roles, dependencies, and decision points across teams.

 

Outcomes This Leader Is Accountable For:

  • Successful delivery of pod initiatives aligned to Studio priorities 
  • Clear, evidencebased scale / stop / iterate recommendations 
  • Measurable improvement in client outcomes for owned segments or lifecycle stages 
  • Faster learning cycles and reduced rework through disciplined execution

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience leading crossfunctional initiatives in strategy, product, growth, or transformation roles
  • Strong execution and delivery skills, with comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Solid analytical and financial acumen, including performance measurement and tradeoff assessment
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority across complex organizations
  • Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry preferred

 

Hybrid/flexible schedule:

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00
