The person in this role will also need to be comfortable operating in multiple environments, from dealing with production issues to making presentations to executive management.
What you will do
- Lead the cross-functional development of critical annual budgets for acquisition of new parts for aerospace terminal installations on various aircraft, development of the annual repair plan for critical avionic and aircraft parts (taking into account technical trends, financial constraints, and workscope management.) In a typical year, spend on new parts exceeds $150MM and spend on repairs falls on the range of $20-30MM.

Drives meetings to review recommendations with senior Finance and Operations executives.
- Make quick decisions based on data analysis related to changing parts requirements due to reliability gaps or changes in product planning
- Create part specific supply chain plans for new part introduction, sparing and failures, obsolescence, and reliability improvements
- Create vendor specific forecasts for the procurement team to support vendor negotiations for price, capacity, and other key contract terms
- Manage the automated Material Resource Planning (MRP) process in the company's ERP to give clear signals to suppliers, purchasing and procurement teams
- Manage the continuous improvement of our MRP tool so that it can handle the complexities related to FAA regulations
- Publish a clear set of rules around which customers can use which parts (and potentially which specific revisions) based on certification authority and customer approvals. Interfaces closely with Industrialization and Engineering to accomplish this objective.
- Provide clear signals to our Customer Operations and Master Production Scheduling teams so the right parts are used for the intended purpose to eliminate wasteful spending
- Drives inventory analyses in company operations locations (Amsterdam and Itasca, principally) to ensure proper stacking/holding of inventory globally to support operations.
