- Lead technical strategy and architecture across Rovo Chat, Rovo Search, Growth, and Rovo Apps & Clients, ensuring our experiences are scalable, reliable, secure, and cohesive.
- Shape the convergence of Search and Chat, creating shared patterns and capabilities that enable users to retrieve information, understand context, continue through multi-step interactions, and take action.
- Drive the development of rich, reusable experience foundations that work across Atlassian products and connected third-party tools, reducing fragmentation and enabling teams to move faster.
- Partner with product, design, data science, machine learning, and engineering leaders to define and deliver a roadmap of high-impact Rovo experiences.
- Enable sustainable growth by creating technical foundations for rapid experimentation, contextual activation, personalization, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives, managing technical negotiations and dependencies while balancing deep project involvement with long-term strategic thinking.
- Raise the bar for quality, performance, trust, and operational excellence across Rovo's customer-facing experiences.
- Standardize and mechanize how AI experiences are developed and deployed, moving from one-off implementations toward scalable, composable, and repeatable approaches.
- Mentor senior engineers, influence engineering culture, and champion technical excellence, inclusive collaboration, and continuous learning.

- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in platform and product engineering at scale.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; able to influence and partner across teams.
- Deep product engineering background, ideally with experience in platform environments at scale.
- Full stack experience preferred, or strong back-end skills with front-end capability.
- Proven ability to architect, build, and operate large-scale, distributed systems and user-facing applications.
- Strong product mindset and UX sensibility.
- Experience leading multi-year, cross-org technical initiatives that drive business outcomes.
