CrossFit is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Education. You will own product strategy and execution for CrossFit's Education line of business, including the learner experience, course registration, content authoring and delivery, learning platforms, and credentialing. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role: you are the dedicated product specialist for Education, translating the needs of Education leaders, program owners, instructors, and learners into a clear product vision, roadmap, and priorities.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Operations, and Education leadership, and coordinate with product owners for adjacent products (for example, the mobile app) to align strategy and sequencing across the broader product surface. Education is central to CrossFit's identity and has significant room to grow. The foundation is an older, layered stack of in-house software and vendor tools.

This role requires someone resilient and responsive, strong at strategy, and disciplined about tight feedback loops: a person who can bring structure and clarity to ambiguity, make disciplined trade-offs, and deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Education, in alignment with company priorities and business objectives.
    • Establish clear product goals, success metrics, and KPIs, and regularly evaluate performance against expected outcomes.
    • Use customer insights, product analytics, market trends, and business data to identify opportunities and guide product decisions.
    • Balance learner experience, business impact, technical investment, and available resources, and make and communicate clear trade-off decisions when priorities compete.
    • Bring an informed point of view on where online learning is heading, then commit fully to the direction the business chooses.
  • Product Execution:
    • Lead the product lifecycle from discovery and validation through development, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
    • Guide product decisions for Education's learner experience, course registration, content authoring and delivery, learning platforms, and credentialing, including integrations across existing systems.
    • Evaluate build, buy, modernize, or replace options for legacy platforms and vendor tools, considering user needs, technical dependencies, migration costs, and long-term value.
    • Ensure requirements clearly define the customer problem, business need, expected outcome, and measures of success.
    • Partner with Engineering and Design to scope initiatives and sequence work across quick wins, foundational fixes, and new capabilities.
    • Support launches with go-to-market, communication, training, and adoption plans in partnership with business stakeholders.
    • Contribute to foundational platform capabilities that cut across products, such as data privacy and consent, localization, and marketing enablement.
  • Customer & Business Impact:
    • Partner with Education leaders and program owners to identify learner and instructor pain points, distinguish underlying problems from proposed solutions, and prioritize improvements across the learner journey.
    • Establish and improve instrumentation for enrollment, course completion, conversion, learner retention, and revenue per learner, including where existing data is incomplete.
    • Run experiments across acquisition, activation, upgrades, and re-engagement, using results to refine product and growth priorities.
    • Build tight feedback loops through research, analytics, and direct engagement with learners, instructors, and staff, and turn what you learn into decisions quickly.
    • Tie product investments to measurable customer and business outcomes rather than feature delivery alone.
  • Collaboration & Influence:
    • Serve as the key Product partner to Education leadership, and communicate strategy, roadmap decisions, progress, risks, and results to executives and other stakeholders.
    • Establish operating rhythms that create visibility into roadmap progress, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
    • Identify and resolve barriers to execution across teams and functions.
    • Model strong product practices, including discovery, prioritization, and measurement, and share them with peers.
    • Coordinate with product owners for adjacent products to align strategy and sequencing.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong product judgment, with the ability to connect customer needs, business strategy, technology, and financial outcomes.
  • Knowledge of education technology, including learning management systems, content authoring, course delivery, credentialing, and learner-facing experiences, and/or deep experience in growth: funnel analysis, experimentation, activation, conversion, and retention. Depth in both is ideal.
  • Ability to define meaningful funnel and learning metrics, improve measurement capabilities, and use experimentation to inform product decisions.
  • Experience navigating legacy systems, vendor integrations, and fragmented data environments, with sound judgment on technical and migration trade-offs.
  • Strong strategic thinking, paired with resilience and responsiveness. You turn feedback into decisions quickly and stay steady when plans change.
  • Ability to prioritize investments and make difficult trade-offs in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Skill at finding the real problem behind a stated request, and at saying no in a way that keeps the relationship intact.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development and experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design.
  • Uses modern AI tools (e.g., Claude) fluently to accelerate discovery, requirements, analysis, and delivery.
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing and personalization tooling preferred.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and create alignment across functions.
  • Comfortable operating in an evolving environment, bringing structure and clarity to ambiguity.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and bias toward execution.
  • Understanding of the CrossFit ecosystem, Affiliate model, or fitness industry preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of product management experience for Senior, or 10+ years for Principal, including significant ownership of digital products or platforms.
  • Experience with education technology, certification or credentialing, online learning, or learner growth products, and/or growth product experience across acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.
  • Familiarity with learning standards (such as SCORM or xAPI), international localization, registration and payment flows, or membership-based education models preferred.
  • Demonstrated success launching and improving products that delivered measurable customer and business outcomes, ideally in an older or complex technology environment.
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Design, and senior business leaders.
  • Experience with consumer, B2B, marketplace, membership, subscription, fitness, or community-based digital products preferred.
