Senior Product Specialist

P3  |  Individual Contributor  |  Leasing Technologies — Internal Lease Comps

About the role

The (P3) Senior Product Specialist is an embedded product enablement partner for JLL’s Leasing technology group, responsible for delivering enablement programs, driving adoption, and support operations for Leasing’s proprietary and AI tools. For this role, that means Internal Lease Comps: when a JLL lease closes, our AI reads it and pulls out the key terms, and the broker who did the deal then confirms or corrects them. Brokers know whether we got it right, and you’ll own that relationship.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leasing Technologies Support – Americas, in partnership with the Principal Product Manager for Internal Lease Comps, you’ll be the one who answers fast, takes broker feedback seriously, and shows them what changed because of it.

This is a proactive role, not a reactive one. You won’t abstract leases or build the pipeline, but you must understand lease terms well enough to know when a value is wrong and who to ask when you’re not sure. You’ll also help build this function from scratch.

What success means: more verified, correct comps reaching Research each week, in the markets you cover.

Description

As a Senior Product Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Product support & escalation management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers confirming or correcting AI-extracted lease comp terms, replying to every confirmation, correction, and question within minutes during working hours, and always the same day
  • Proactively identify brokers and markets that have gone quiet and determine why, by email, phone, or through team leads, rather than waiting for a reply
  • Judge every broker correction against the lease and the local Research convention before accepting it, logging the broker’s value, the clause that settles it, and the verdict
  • Capture unfiltered feedback directly from brokers who complain, and close the loop with them once an issue is fixed
  • Handle broker requests to keep specific comps confidential, following JLL’s data-handling protocol and flagging any conflicts to Research before proceeding

Product adoption

  • Build the broker-facing playbook from the ground up: reply templates, market checklists, and escalation paths that let the function scale beyond one person
  • Partner with local Research leads to agree definitions (rent type, free rent, TI, OpEx) before expanding into a new market, and refine templates accordingly
  • Present to brokers directly, including traveling with the Product Manager to broker all-hands meetings where appropriate
  • Guide the function through its earliest, most ambiguous stage, since no playbook exists yet

Agentic AI enablement

  • Evaluate AI-extracted lease comp data against source lease documents and broker feedback, acting as the human-judgment layer between the AI’s output and Research’s downstream use of it
  • Log every AI-versus-broker discrepancy: the AI’s value, the broker’s value, and the clause that settles it so corrections can be used to test and improve AI accuracy over time
  • Translate logged issues into engineering backlog items with enough evidence to act on, then follow up with the broker once it’s resolved
  • Apply automation selectively, for example auto-acknowledging simple confirmations, so judgment time goes to the corrections that need it

Data, analytics & continuous improvement

  • Track and report broker reply rates weekly for every market covered, with a documented reason for any market falling behind
  • Report patterns rather than totals alone: what’s being corrected, which brokers and markets are going quiet, and which complaints keep recurring
  • Maintain the integrity of the correction log so it holds up as a dataset Engineering and Research can act on

Strategic partnership & product influence

  • Build trusted, senior-level relationships directly with brokers, including the ability to disagree with them, backed by the lease, without damaging the relationship
  • Serve as the voice of the broker to the product and Research teams, translating recurring feedback into prioritized, evidenced product improvements
  • Partner closely with the Product Manager on day-to-day market and broker prioritization

Qualifications and skills

Listed in priority order.

  • 5+ years of experience in leasing, tenant representation, or commercial real estate
  • Hands-on commercial real estate or leasing/tenant-rep background: working knowledge of Full Service Gross, Modified Gross, and NNN in practice, how TI and free rent are quoted, and how both vary by market and product type; direct experience sourcing, verifying, or circulating lease comps with brokers
  • Comfortable with data and AI tools: able to work with a dashboard, a spreadsheet, and Jira (or similar) for tracking data-quality issues, and able to evaluate AI-generated output critically rather than taking it at face value. SQL is a plus, not a requirement
  • Clear, fast, confident communicator: able to explain a lease term to a senior broker without confusing or talking down to them, and able to disagree with them when the lease says otherwise
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage ownership
  • JLL experience and existing relationships with brokers or Research teams is a strong plus

Location & schedule

  • Remote; Central time zone (CST) preferred
  • Standard coverage window: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM CT

This role isn’t for you if

  • You’d rather wait for brokers to come to you than find out why they haven’t replied
  • You avoid difficult conversations or take criticism personally
  • You think replying within a week is fast enough
  • You need a finished playbook before you start
