About this Role:

As a Senior Project Manager at Consertus, you will lead and manage a variety of complex projects in support of various electric utility clients, overseeing all processes from initiation to completion. SPMs supervises, directs, and coordinates with project stakeholders including clients, engineers, and contractors regarding scope, schedule and cost adherence. You will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and participating in business development activities as required. As an expert in the field of project management, provides team leadership on multiple complex projects. May supervise the work of subordinate PMs.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management

  • Manages, controls, and monitors project costs during all project phases.
  • Develops and manages project budget and cash flow analysis.
  • Prepares and reviews cost estimates.
  • Identifies potential areas of cost savings and acts to implement these ideas.
  • Monitors Cotter fees and contract performance.

Schedule Management

  • Maintains the overall project schedule and works to ensure on-time completion.
  • Identifies schedule concerns and works with the project team to correct. Prepares and implements make-up schedules to get the work back on track.
  • Oversight of project deliverables.

Client Relations and Business Development

  • Maintains relationship with client on an ongoing basis to enhance client satisfaction and increase potential for additional business.
  • Pursues new opportunities with current clients.
  • Assists with development and preparation of qualifications, proposals, and presentations.
  • Identifies new opportunities, meets and presents to prospective clients.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Engineering or closely related field
  • Direct experience in the utilities or energy space is a plus
  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Typically requires 10 years related experience
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Hybrid work opportunity based in Greater Chicago with flexible arrangements, allowing for work-life balance and occasional visits to field sites.

Compensation Range: $130k-$180k annually
