Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) - Workplace Services manages the Project Management Team to ensure that large, complex projects are planned, implemented, and completed in accordance with the client’s strategic business goals and objectives. The Senior Project Manager, reporting to a PPM Associate Director, will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects in accordance with the PMO. They will review and report contract performance and associated reporting across all services performed for the constituent projects of the account. The Senior Project Manager will review, analyze, and help prepare project dashboard information periodically and will reconcile any issues or discrepancies to provide to the PMO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management Compliance
    • Set clear goals and objectives for project planning, implementation, and delivery for the entire lifecycle of multiple projects occurring simultaneously.
    • Understand and communicate program changes during the PMO lifecycle, training project team leaders as necessary and updating project-level dashboards and document templates for project team use.
  • Project Planning, Implementation, and Delivery
    • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on Move and Launch process, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and proficiency in project management principles, account best practices, and emerging trends to drive successful project outcomes, strategic insights, and guidance to team members and project stakeholders.
    • Understand and communicate established key performance indicators for the PMO and work with project teams to incorporate KPIs into overall project plans.
    • Host project-level meetings with all project teams and stakeholders. Create, record, and memorialize all meeting agendas, minutes, and documents.
    • Define and track program scope, including all constituent projects, activities associated with the program, governance for financial performance, risk analysis and mitigation.
    • Initiate, develop and review project team schedules and align with the overall PMO master schedule.
    • Represent any project-level highlights, issues or risks that affect PMO performance at the PMO meetings.
  • Risk Management, Project Administration, and Reporting
    • Monitor progress, provide direction to update program plans as required, manage change and risk.
    • Maintain overall project administration organization for project teams. Communicate and track project team deliverables, deadlines, and standards in accordance with the PMO.
    • Establish processes and procedures to maintain project management oversight and decision-making support for application policies and practices throughout the entire program life cycle.
  • Lead a team of 2+ direct reports and provide day-to-day leadership to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities.
  • Assist in business development efforts to create project proposals, RFPs, estimates, and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
  • 15+ years’ experience in the tenant advisory, development, architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • MCR, PgPM, or PMP certification(s) preferred.
  • High level of process and problem-solving skills in ambiguous environment. Strong analytic abilities, consistent and methodical in reporting, anticipates risks and issues.
  • Experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) model, including oversight of a portfolio of simultaneous projects.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move within and between client buildings more than 50% of the day.
  • Must be available evenings and weekends depending on project deadlines.
  • The person in this role needs to be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to travel as needed for individual projects within North America.
