Coordinate, set up, and supervise senior programs, trips, and activities; handle registration, receipts, reports, attendance, and incident documentation; chaperone outings and enforce rules while providing excellent customer service.
Bensenville Park District is seeking a Senior Services Assistant to join our team to assist in the coordination and implementation of senior programs, trips, and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Coordinate, setup, and supervise programs, trips, and various activities for our senior participants
- Coordinate Lunch Bunch Bingo, call numbers, and assist in setting up and breaking down Senior Events such as Bingo Prize table, tablecloth, bingo cards, and other tasks as assigned
- Provide itemized receipts following all trips/outings
- Assist with submitting written reports, attendance sheets, accident reports, and receipts when applicable
- Chaperone on all assigned trips
- Demonstrate and support all park district customer service policies
- Maintain order and enforce rules during programs, trips, and activities
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Demonstrated quality customer service
- Experience working with Seniors preferred
- Senior programming experience preferred
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks/situations at once
- Ability to perform patiently and courteously
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet the minimum age requirement of at list 21 years of age
- Must be certified or willing to attain certification in CPR & First Aid within 90 days
JOB STATUS Part time DEPARTMENT Recreation FSLA STATUS Non-Exempt
SALARY $15.00 per hour
HOURS 5-15 hours per week including evenings and weekends
