What is the Web Platform - Core Data team?

The Web Platform group looks at the whole product development lifecycle for opportunities to remove constraints to scaling the business and rapidly delivering value to customers. 

The Core Data team is tasked with removing impediments to extracting the maximum customer benefit from the billions of security observations we have available each day. This work can vary from working with Data Science and Data Collection teams to integrate new data sources to optimizing the processing and storage of data enabling data analytics to be provided in real time.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a customer-facing SaaS application. 

• Experience with Airflow or other data processing workflow tooling

• Experience with public cloud platforms and containers, such as AWS and Kubernetes

• Experience working with a team of engineers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with our tech stack: Python,  Postgres, Airflow, FastAPI, Django

• Experience in Agile software development and delivery in a SaaS environment

• Knowledge of microservices architectures, APIs, and related technologies

• Knowledge of cybersecurity or information security

• Clear concise writer and presenter

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$130000 to $150000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
