Team Overview
The Trusted Communications Solutions team partners with global telecommunications providers and enterprise customers to deliver innovative messaging, voice, identity, and fraud solutions. Operating at the intersection of product strategy, customer engagement, and solution architecture, the team plays a critical role in driving growth across one of TransUnion’s fastest-growing businesses.Reporting into the Trusted Communications Solutions organization, this team works closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to help customers solve complex communications challenges while shaping the future roadmap of TransUnion's telecommunications solutions portfolio. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to telecommunications carriers and enterprise customers, with a primary focus on supporting key customer relationships such as T-Mobile and other global telecommunications organizations.
- Design and architect carrier-grade solutions across messaging, voice, identity, and fraud prevention domains, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and commercial value.
- Partner directly with customer technology teams, architects, and senior leadership stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, drive solution adoption, and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Capture Voice of Customer (VOC) insights and translate customer requirements into scalable product enhancements, solution designs, and future roadmap recommendations.
- Collaborate across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Account Management teams to bring new solutions from concept through deployment.
- Lead technical discussions, solution workshops, architecture reviews, and customer-facing presentations with both technical and executive audiences.
- Serve as a key contributor to RFI/RFP responses, solution proposals, business cases, white papers, and customer-facing technical documentation.
- Act as a bridge between customer technology teams and internal engineering teams to accelerate delivery, remove technical barriers, and enable successful implementations.
- Support training and enablement efforts for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to increase solution awareness and adoption.
- Contribute to a high-growth business focused on expanding strategic telecommunications partnerships and increasing customer value across global markets.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, consulting, or technical solutioning within the telecommunications industry, with demonstrated expertise supporting carrier-grade environments.
- Deep domain expertise in telecommunications technology, specifically messaging, voice communications, signaling, network infrastructure, and related protocols.
- Experience partnering directly with telecommunications carriers, large enterprises, or technology organizations to define and implement complex solutions.
- Proven ability to translate customer business challenges into technical solutions that are commercially viable, scalable, and implementable.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success organizations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage effectively with architects, engineers, product leaders, and executive-level customer stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of telecommunications protocols, messaging ecosystems, voice communications technologies, signaling frameworks, and carrier network architecture.
- Experience designing API-driven solutions and integrating enterprise systems using REST APIs, JSON, and modern application interfaces.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Amazon Web Services), and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of microservices-based architectures, distributed systems, containerized applications, and modern integration patterns.
- Ability to evaluate and architect solutions across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.

- Experience supporting major telecommunications providers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Bandwidth, or similar organizations.
- Experience responding to RFIs, RFPs, and technical solution proposals.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD practices, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployment technologies.
- Familiarity with telecommunications standards, industry organizations, and frameworks such as GSMA, ATIS, 3GPP, IETF, STIR/SHAKEN, and SIP.
- Experience creating technical white papers, solution design documentation, customer-facing technical presentations, and reusable architecture artifacts.

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $168,750.00 - $281,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan.
