Your role at a glance
The Senior Specialist, Sourcing – DC Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing sourcing strategies for data center operations. This role ensures cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company standards and operational requirements. The position involves strategic supplier management, contract negotiations, and driving continuous improvement in sourcing processes.What we are looking for
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supplier Management
- Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers that support data center operations, including facilities services, infrastructure components, and operational support.
- Monitor supplier performance, service quality, and compliance while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
- Resolve supplier performance issues and enforce adherence to SLAs to protect uptime and operational continuity.
Cost & Data Analysis
- Analyze spend and supplier performance data to identify cost savings opportunities and improve total cost of ownership.
- Prepare sourcing updates, performance summaries, and reporting for management and operational stakeholders.
- Use standard procurement and business tools to track spend, supplier compliance, and operational commitments.
Contract Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service conditions that balance cost savings with operational risk and service reliability.
- Ensure agreements align with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to data‑center operations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with data center operations, facilities, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with operational priorities and service needs.
- Support global programs, site expansions, and operational lifecycle initiatives by ensuring suppliers and contracts are aligned to long-term operational and cost objectives.
KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Strong understanding of data center operational environments, including critical infrastructure, operating standards, and processes that ensure reliability, safety, and service continuity. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes supporting data center operations, including vendor performance, service continuity, and operational risk management. Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders, including data center operations, facilities, finance, and external service providers, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and operational outcomes in mission‑critical environments. Strong negotiation skills focused on achieving fair commercial outcomes that drive cost savings and improved total cost of ownership, while protecting operational continuity, service levels, and delivery commitments in mission‑critical environments.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preferred Certifications: CPSM, ITIL, or data center-related certifications.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 7 - 10 years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles with related experience, including facilities, maintenance, and operational service delivery. Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with industry standards for data center operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Remain stationary for long periods of time.
- Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
- Perform work during US business hours and time zones.
Work conditions & other requirements
- Travel may be required.
- Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.
Compensation Pay Range
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $135,300.00 - $183,900.00.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
